I did apply several KB hotfixes to get MS Update running happliy. That got me DotNet 4.5.5, hence my surprise with 1.38 being bothered and wanting 4.8.1. Maybe the change of database system ? 1.33 is the last build for MySQL isn't it ?
There is a set of data channels roughly as described...
My TV PC is more a cast-off on older hardware (a 'Quiet PC' i5 4690, 16GB ram, 2xSSD 1xHDD, system graphics), mainly as a cheap way to get UK satellite reception. Progress, and lack thereof, recorded in case it is of use to others or open for correcting my misapprehensions.
Previous attempts...
To add.... same issues with 1.36
Clean Win10 x64 ('Enterprise') fresh build PC.
Installed Hauppauge DVB-S card (88x drivers)
Installed MP 1.36 (x64)
Database login issue is as shown (see image), I did not get an option about which database to use during installation
Had to uninstall and go over...
I do not think so, but for the avoidance of doubt I followed this process:
Fresh clean install on new Windows drive.
Update satellite info (various activity on the TV server window, satellite names scroll by)
Full new tune
BBC1 HD missing among others - it is a 24 hour broadcast
Update...
Thanks,
This is a clean install of MP2 on a clean Win7, so it is not a left over but could be a 'starter' data set at installation. I will try the update with logging and post the result back here. I have done two scans with 'Update' ticked, it did not turn up the BBC HD
I have checked again...
Been running MP1 for ages, all working OK. I occasionally lose channels and so edit the satellite.xml as channels move about (I'm UK on Astra / Sky), which worked out OK on MP1, with data from the KingofSat changelog.
Now changed over to MP2, and even after doing 'Update Satellites' I am still...
All fixed and running both local and also TV server - client (for no other reason than why not try it out !)
DVB-S / DVB-S2 and local file playing
thanks
Bill
I am getting the error 'unable to play:live3-0.ts'.when trying to watch TV
New MP installation, as single seat, looking to use instead of WinTV7 on Hauppauge DVBS2 card.
Relatively old PC (WinXP, Intel core 2, see specs on profile for the rest)
Applied 'dvbfix'
Drivers apparently up to date
TV...
TSreader will examine the channel stream and tell you all the necessary numbers (and more besides).
The lite version is free and enough.
I'd be interested to hear if it enters OK, I could not get TV server 1.0.2.0 to accept a manual channel, but that was more to override the PMT settings
Bill
Installed MP 1.0.2 as a local setup (not TV server)
Transmitter is Crystal Palace, frequencies are correct in xml file
However I've done a couple of scans, including a 'complete' and MP fails to pick up a couple of channels in one MUX.
The 562MHz MUX does not pick up the following...
