Yep, that solved it for me too. But I think the problem is more widespread than 4 or five users. First I roled back to 1.37 and thought I simply skip 1.38. I think more users will act like this. Maybe an installation advice on the download page will help others.

If I start the MP.exe with admin rights it works, but then you have to quit the win admin prompt on start, if you dont set the win uac to "never notify"

Sadly it does not make any difference if the option "start as admin" is on or off in the mpx86proxy.exe It works if the proxy is allready running but it does not start the proxy

For me not the MiniDisplayLibrary.dll seems to be the problem, it seems when i start the MP.exe the proxy does not start. If i started the proxy before, the display works fine. But it is strange, that the config.exe starts the proxy on its own, when i config the display, but the Mp.exe does...

Just had the same observation as you. The difference is SG_VFDU.dll in 8.12 is called SG_VFD.dll in 7.77. But I did not get 7.77 working. How did you do that? Install 7.77 - rename the SG_VFD.dll into SG_VFDU.dll in program files x86 folder into SG_VFDU.dll Any benefits yet with 7.77?
