There seem to be several other issues with MP resuming from standby or hibernation. So some sort of "better" or "harder" reset would be much appreciated, ie to do the same thing as MP does when it first starts. Just like Ziphnor I can regain full functionality after a restart of MP.

Btw, I am also having problem with powerscheduler and recordings ie I can't record scrambled channels. I have seen error reports about that in other treads. I currently "solve" this by recording stuff up on till the show I want to record.

Soo, any help would be very good!

    I also have problems with MP after hibernation. I've posted them already on another thread. Basically the DVB-T tuner doesn't work well after hibernation/standby and I have to close MP and start it again (there's no need to reboot). The computer is hibernated when MP is in the Home Screen and TV is not running (with Power Scheduler). So there is something about closing MP and restarting it that restores the tuner functionality whithout having to reset the computer. If the same thing could be done when the computer comes out of hibernation/standby, it would fix the issue.

    A fresh install of Windows XP SP2 with the latest driver for the HVR 900 didn't help :( . Because of this I have to leave my PC running all the time if there's a DVB-T scheduled recording.

    As said in other threads..

    The same symptom does apply to TT Budget 1500-C. No TV, it says,
    "Unable to connect MPG2 pin"

    When I exit MP and restart everything is fine.

    PLEASE devs, have a look at it. It is a very annoying issue and it might me fixed easily by modifing the way the initialization works.

    I seem to have exactly the same problem with a DVB-S Technotrend budget 1401 card since I have updated to 0.2.0.4: No TV and no radio after returning from hibernation, and everythings works fine when I shutdown and restart MP.

    BTW: This card is still not recognized even with the newest patch unless I paste this code I found in the forum into the config

    Code:
    - <capturecard commercialname="TT-budget S-1401" capturename="TechnoTrend BDA/DVB Capture" devid="VEN_1131&DEV_7146&SUBSYS_101813C2&REV_01">
      <capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true" />
    - <tv>
      <interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5" />
    - <filters>
      <filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBS Network Provider" checkdevice="false" />
      <filter cat="tunerdevice" name="TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-S Tuner" checkdevice="true" />
      <filter cat="capture" name="TechnoTrend BDA/DVB Capture" checkdevice="true" />
      </filters>
    - <connections>
      <connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0" />
      <connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0" />
      </connections>
      </tv>
      </capturecard>

    Is there any spefic reason not to include this card in the standard setup?
    Best regards from Heidelberg

    With or without latest svn 22-06-2006, running 0.2.0.4, if i remove the USB TV card side of the Dvico dual, all problems go away, ie MP Hangs with no response when going from homescreen to TV, no C.A.D and reset/reboot necessary.
    So for myself it seems again a usb problem not restoring settings.
    Going to refit my lifeview Duo card and see how it runs with dual PCI cards, Me thinks it will be fine though.
    So can now use Power button in fullscreen TV and Hibernate/return to MP homescreen, no problem.

    Well MP is definetly doing something wrong. I have had several occurences of starting from hibernation and not being able to watch scrambled channels, where a restart of MP wouldnt fix it, BUT just starting MyTheatre and closing it again made MP work correctly. Im thinking MyTheatre resets the CAM.

    Apart from that ive also had the same problem, but where its sufficient to restart MP. The free channels always works in my case.

    Same here. I can confirm.

    Are the developer considering to adress this? Would be nice to read a statement. We have already described the problem and narrowed down the circumstances...

    Maybe its fixed in the new TV engine, and they feel its a waste to do anything about the old one? I could live with that, if i knew that was the case.

    I was thinking along those lines myself, Dman's still busy adding cards though.

    As per previous post now got 2 PCI cards working with NO problems, as long as i do not use the USB part of the Dvico dual.

    regards

    But do your cards have Common Interface and use a Common Access Module? My tuners do work after resuming, but not for watching the channels my CI+CAM+Smartcard is supposed to unscramble. To view those channels i have to restart MP.
