OT, but is there any point/advantage to having follw.it and trakt enabled on the same system?

They both have different recommendation algorithms, so by switching them both on you get the benefits of both. It also doesn't really cost you anything to have both enabled so what harm is there?

Hi Guys/Gals...for the last few weeks I have been busy implenting a lot of the trakt.tv API. To make this happen we have now made the plugin a windows plugin so you can get the full richness of the trakt.tv features available on your HTPC with-in MediaPortal. XBMC has something similar as well, checkout here for more info on that.

What to expect for the first release:
* View your personal TVShow Calendar
* View TVShows premieres Calendar (useful to know when the next season of a show starts or checkout a new show)
* View what TVShows/Movies are currently Trending.
* View your personal TVShow/Movie recommendations.
* View your personal Movie/TVShow Watch List.
* Ability to Rate/Add to Library/Mark as Watched on various screens
* Customize settings like Login/Signup...all from the GUI!
* Skinners have full flexiblity to create custom icons on posters in thumb views and an abundance of skin properties to choose from.

What may not make it on 1st release but certainily will shortly after:
* Ability to Play a local Movie.
* JumpTo various plugins such MovingPictures\My Videos Details view when selecting a local movie.
* Info Service type properties for HomeScreen that can be used by skinners to show top trending/recommended movies etc
* Search For Friends, People (Actors, Writers, Directors etc), Movies, TVShows, Episodes.
* View your friends Watch List.
* Submit a Shout on a show/episode/movie.
* Plus much more...

I have also attached some screenshots to help visualize some of the features mentioned above. If any community skinners what a preview release to get started on skinning shoot me a pm. There has been good progress and I would estimate release with-in a week or two.

From what I can read you have made this into a standalone window plugin. However is a tighter implementation with tvseries possible? I'm thinking on TV scheulde in particular. So just below the latest episode you have the upcoming episodes in yellow or something similar.

1stdead, its already a standalone plugin but instead of process plugin we are making it a gui window plugin. It still does the same syncing it now does in the background plus much more obviously.

Tighter integration is possible, but haven't thought of all the different possibilities yet (mainly context menu related stuff I guess, like jump to trending shows etc). Wouldn't be hard for tvseries to communicate with traktplugin (if installed) in background and get back the calendar object then add next aired episode to the list (in different color). Thats even possible to do now with a process plugin or directly handle in tvseries without trakt.
