TVServer allows you to have custom settings per LNB but you have to only check 1x LNB at a time.
To get around this we just have to add the custom settings in the drop down section.

Sooooo, let me know the LOF1 LOF2 & SWitch frequencies you'd need and I'll add them.
I have recently done this for another user:

    NA Custom 1 = LOF1: 11250 LOF2: 11250 SW: 12700
    NA Custom 2 = LOF1: 11250 LOF2: 11250 SW: 12200

This solved their problem with a muti-switch setup.

    DMAN
the NA custom1 and NA custom2 settings as described are exactly what I'm looking for. How do I accomplish this?

    Thanks,
    J

Just select them when setting up your DVB-S scanning options.
    Use latest TVServer SVN.

    DMAN.

Just to add. I have looked into the card you have and that does not have DiSEqC natively supported by TVServer but may be generically supported if they have DiSEqC support in the BDA driver.
I would need to see the TV.Log file.

There are alot of issues posted about this card however - see broadleafs comments here...

The card had issues early on, with support from most apps, but is supported pretty well these days.

The card is a rebadge of a Geniatech digistar, & does have disecq support in the BDA drivers. The box says it supports disecq switches & motors, & the card works fine using my Eaglestar 4x1 diseqc switch, when used with MyTheatre.

Adding diseqc support for this card, would take care of the geniatech cards too.

I can't get you a log right now, as I just switched to a 22kHz switch once you added the NA1/NA2 options:D . I have my diseqc switch lent out, but can run some tests when I get it back if you want logs dman.

I was checking the logs, when I did have it connected. The tuning details would be listing the correct diseqc option for the bird I was selecting, but the switch wouldn't switch. If I used MyTheatre to pick a channel on a bird, then MP would subsequently be able to get all channels on that bird only. Use MT to pick a channel on a different bird, & then MP could get all channels on that bird. MP just could not make the switch itself.

    Picked up the switch tonight.

Just finished the testing. I'm using a 4x1 diseqc with LNBs currently only connected to ports 2 & 3.

I loaded up MyTheatre & used it to pick a channel from the LNB on port 3. This then left the switch set for port 3 after closing MT. I then loaded up TVE3 (17406), set the diseqc settings to match MT, & ran the scan for that LNB. Once done, I used MT to switch the switch to port 2 & relaunched TVE3 to scan in the LNB on port 2.

With the switch left set for port 2, I then cleared the logs, & used TVE3 to preview a CH on port 3. This didn't work, as the switch never switched to port3. See first log archive.

I then cleared the logs, & used TVE3 to pick a CH on port 2, which worked, since that's where the switch was left by MT. See 2nd log archive.

I closed TVE3, used MT to switch the switch to port 3. Relaunced TVE3, cleared the logs, & selected the same channel I did the first time. This then worked, after having changed the switch with MT. See 3rd log archive.

On an unrelated note (I'm assuming) why do the logs show an ATSC/QAM tuner detected?

I've seen this in the logs for some time & it's had me wondering. I only have a DVB-S card, & have never even owned an ATSC card.

That was quick dman. I see you've already commited some changes regarding BDA logging, & BDA diseqc support.

I just updated to 17454, & tested again. It's still not switching the switch, but there are new entries in the logs. I started off getting MT to tune a CH on port 3, then shutting down & loading TVE3 17454. I first picked a CH on port three, which worked since the switch didn't have to change(SW3 CH3 log attached), & then tried a CH on port 2 (SW3 CH2 log attached) which failed to switch the switch.

    Thanks for looking into this.

After the changes made by dman_lfc tonight I now have DesiqC working for the first time since 11-08-2007 - build 16481.

Nice work. Hope you other guys and girls also get it working. ;)

    x4mer,

Since you haven't told me this...

What sats are the LNB's pointing to?
    What type of LNB's?
What settings did you use in MyTheatre? (screenshot would be nice)
What settings have you tried in TVServer?
What type of DiSEqC switch is it?
    What card?
    What drivers?

I need a TV.Log which shows completely the TVServer starting and tuning the two ports your LNB's are connected to.
Please edit the tuning parameters of each sat to only have three known working frequencies in it then restart TVServer and scan the two sats without MT being involved. Then post the log with the info requested above.

    Sorry for the delay

I have no need for disecq support anymore, but I'd like to continue, to try to help getting disecq working for these cards in TVE3. I know this is OT for this thread (since it's disecq not 22kHz). I tried to take it to PM, but can't attach logs there.

I hooked the disecq switch back up tonight. I'm using 2 legacy dual LNBs. One port of each is hooked to a 22kHz switch, which is working fine now, thanks to you. I've got the remaining port on each now hooked to my 4x1 disecq on ports 2 & 3. I've tempoarily moved the output line from the 22k switch to the disecq switch output. Therefore the 22kHz switch is out of the loop, and only the disecq is involved.

In MT I set bird 1 to Commited port2, & bird 2 to Committed port3 (everything works fine in MT). I set TVE3 to the same, & deleted all but 3tps on each bird like you asked. I powered down the PC to cut power to the switch, so it would go to default settings. I then launched TVE3 (V 17500 now), & did a scan of the 3 tps on both LNBs. The switch did not switch, so I got no signal on any of them. Logs are attached.

EDIT - Sorry it's an Eaglestar pro disecq switch, & the card is the one mentioned earlier in this thread a Digiwave 103g. The card is a rebadge of a Geniatech Digistar, & uses the Geniatech drivers - the ones on their website.

The problem is your card doesn't accept the same diseqc parameters as other diseqc BDA cards.
Hence why Dunnys and others are happy.

    Example:

    2008-02-25 20:15:11.015625 [11]: GenericBDAS: Level1AB - SendDiSEqCCommand(0x01)
    2008-02-25 20:15:11.015625 [11]: GenericBDAS: put_Range:1 success:0
    2008-02-25 20:15:11.031250 [11]: GenericBDAS: CommitChanges() Succeeded

    2008-02-25 20:15:56.328125 [11]: GenericBDAS: Level1BA - SendDiSEqCCommand(0x0100)
    2008-02-25 20:15:56.328125 [11]: GenericBDAS: put_Range:256 success:0
    2008-02-25 20:15:56.343750 [11]: GenericBDAS: CommitChanges() Succeeded

    That ^ is good.

So what we need to do is to find out what MT sets the put_Range as.
If you could please grab build 17538 or later to try this...

Start MT without TVService running then get it to send the DiSEqC command for your first LNB.
Then start TVServer and tune like you have just done.

Hopefully in the log there will be something like this...
    GenericBDAS: get_Range:<MT value> success:0
This should occur before the GenericBDAS: Level1AB - SendDiSEqCCommand(0x01) or similar command.
If success = 0 then let me know what the value is and then do the same for the other LNB's.

Please let me know the values for Level1AA / BA / AB / BB

    Cheers

    DMAN
