darkside - thanks for the report, that is great to know! I think most users use the same as you!

@Latvian -

1. Infoservice - Great you got it going - did you figure out you can press left arrow and get to the news feeds? Or on Basic Home, down arrow and get 5 day weather? Heh Heh, easter eggs! I fixed Basic Home up a bit in SVN.
2. MyHome - I tried making lines longer in MyHome but it didn't look good to me. You can a) rename MovingPictures to Movies in the Config, b) Remove the stupid 'MY' in MP Config - General - Skin (at the bottom) Why it is the default is beyond me! Like you need to know they are yours?
3. My Trailers - HUH? I can't duplicate this, so post a screenshot and more details as I don't know where you mean.
4. OnlineVideos - Good point, I'll see what I can do!

EDIT: About the manual - it has a Table of Contents so you can just click to the section you need (i.e. Configuring aMPed - Dates). In future, if it's in there I''ll just tell you that. I believe in user support, but I don't want to encourage bad habits

@Latvian - I put a new version of OnlineVideos in SVN for you to test. The problem is that each site uses different sizes for the thumbs - most are wide images of the video which is why I used that size. I changed it to square - a compromise between the two! And I adjusted the details screen a lot. It now also supports fanart from the Showtimes plugin if you have it. Let me know what you think.

Dadeo: my problem is that i can not play Apple Movie Trailers in "My Trailers" plugin. In fact it shouldnt be posted here, since it is not (i think) skin-related. Thing is, i can watch Apple Movie Trailers under "Online Videos" plugin, so it is not trivial quicktime codec missing problem, i guess. Also i can see Game Trailers under "My Trailers" plugin. But Apple Movies Trailers under "My Trailers" i got what you see in screenshot here. Searching forum i see it is kinda widespread problem, but i dont find definite cause and solution.

About "Online Video" plugin, after aMPed SVN update it seems much nicier to me, posters of movies in correct proportions, also gametrailers wide "posters" stay in proportions too. I still would like that scrolling text about choosen movie would be given more space in vertical. I believe that top space is reserved if there are many trailers/clips to choose from, yes? But in most cases top/left half of screen is just empty (see pic). Would be ubercool if scrolling text would "know" there is more space to scroll up

Point taken Latvian. I did leave room for the longer lists in both OnlineVideos and MyTrailers, but usually the lists are quite short, and it is best to design for the normal case not the exceptions. So I will see how much bigger I can make the descriptions. In the few cases where they are long, you can just scroll the lists like usual.

LOL! I'll think about that! Maybe I can come up with some trick in MP 1.1.0 which has some new features that might work.

If you can read that fast you can always increase the scroll speed

BTW what quality are you using to play Trailers - i.e. small, medium, large, HQ, etc.

My Trailers broke down a while ago since apple changed stuff on their side.
There's a fix already that works for all trailers except avatar

joz: thanks i know about that fix, but that not fixes anything in my case, still empty "audio codec" error. Via plugin "Online Video" all movies trailers works, including Avatar. I will not think hard right now about why "My Trailers" acts weird for me, i will let it alone. "Online Videos" do things for me for now.

joz, I can still play all trailers without the fix. For once I am lucky! But if I pause playback I lose sound (is that because there is no buffering?)
@Latvian, fixed text fields in OnlineVideos and MyTrailers, plus a few other minor improvements. Let me know if you are happy yet

Would it be possible, or better to say would it be much work to implement support for the My Anime 2 Plugin in aMPed?
Maybe you can reuse youre My TVSeries Skin files, because the Google Code Page says that the plugin is based on that.


This is the only plugin that i want to use, which does not have aMPed support till now.

darkside - I have thought about anime2. I was waiting for the plugin to get a bit more stable, it still is 'in development' with lots of new releases, changes, etc. But so are a lot of other plugins aMPed supports! So I'll take a look when I get a chance.

My problem is I have no test data! And I don't know how it is supposed to work or look. So my question is are you willing to help me out? It may have to wait until I get aMPed 2.1 out the door!
