You have to install it with MP 32bit version installed. When it is installed, you then uninstall 32bit MP and install 64bit MP

Many thanks. When I uninstall 32bit do I select 'Standard Uninstall', 'Complete Uninstall' or 'Full Product Cleanup'?

I've completed the above using the 'Standard Uninstall' for the 32bit. I have then copied the files provided in the other posts x64 folder (see below) into the Mediaportal folder, however, the StreamedMP editor will not start. This is all on top of a clean install of Windows 10. Thanks for any help.

    Common.Utils.dll
    MpeCore.dll
    MpeInstaller.exe
    MpeMaker.exe

Sorry didn't see your "Complete Uninstall" post, will; give that a go.

Do you have these files installed under c:\program files (x86)\team mediaportal\mediaportal:
    SMPCheckSum.dll
    SMPCheckSum_DotNet35.dll
    SMPEditor.exe
    SMPEditor.exe.config
    SMPMediaPortalRestart.exe

Not sure where to post this. I have just wasted 48 hours trying to install a clean Win 11 MP1.39 x64 system. I have discovered for me at least it is impossible to get TVServer to work on the system. After multiple clean installs of Win 10 and Win 11 with MP1.38.3 or MP1.39 I have discovered that the only SQL option that works is SQL2008R2. Any scan on DVB-S/S2 caused either the TVService to crash or worse still the system to reboot.
Has anyone else had similar issues?

Older releases of MP used MySQL, but recent releases use MariaDB on Windows 10 and 11. The MP installer will download and install MariaDB during the installation process. And you should not need to do anything special, such as entering a password in order to access the database -- it all just works. (y)

Did the installer not download and install MariaDB for you? Or are you trying to use some other database program?

Note: for others who might be reading this post, MP 1.39 still uses MySQL on Windows 7 and Windows Vista; I don't know which database program is used on Windows 8. :(

I installed all SQL variants. Mariadb and MySQL do not work. I have an Astrometa DVBT usb and a TBS6982 DVBS card. I could not scan either for channels, it caused the TV service to crash immediately or the whole system to restart. I tried Win10 and Win11 with either Maria or mysql, every time it crashed on scan.
The only version I can get to work is SQL2008R2 so far.
I haven't tried other MSSQL versions as I used 2008r2 previously.
This is an x64 installation fyi

    Puzzling.

If you have a working system that you are content to use going forward, then I would suggest that you stay with that. On the other hand, if you don't have a working system, you need to provide some logs. So:
    • Enable DEBUG logging in "MP Config".
    • Enable DEBUG logging in "TV Server Config".
    • Try scanning for channels in "TV Server Config".
    • Use the "MP Watchdog" tool to collect all logs and zip them up. The "all logs" is important, because the clues to the cause of the problem probably won't be in the standard MP or TV Server log; the clues may be in one of the other logs.
    • Attach the zip file to this thread.
