About the X-Factor Skin (R479) (13 Viewers)

Hi Hodge,

I will add a new thing called "color theme" to the skin configuration in a day or so. This new feature will let you choose a color that will blend with the black submenu and rss backgrounds. For example; the submenu is black and you choose yellow as "color theme". This will blend the black image with the yellow color.

Perhaps this can be used in more parts of the skin also, still haven't decided how far I will take this

Please provide;
1. The exact folder patch to where you put your fanart images.
2. An eaxample of a filename that does not show (like madonna.jpg or abba.png).

The path is : C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\XFactor\Media\FanArt\Music

Some examples : Beatles_1.jpg , pet shop boys.jpg

Could it be because of the "all users" path? I only have Administrator and All users as options, and under Administrator there's no Program Data\TeamMediaPortal folder (well, "Datos de programa" in the localised spanish Windows)

Do you realy have a space infront between Fanart\ and Music or is this a copy past problem? If you have this space then please remove it in the music foldername.

Hi,

The new Color Theme part is now done. See images below for example. In picture one I have choosen yellow as color theme and in picture two red.

Available colors are;
Blue (1)
Blue (2)
Blue (3)
Blue (4)
Red-Orange (1)
Red-Orange (2)
Cappuccino
Latte Macchiato
Yellow (dark)
<None> (means that it will look as in r396)
Grey (Light)
Grey
Grey (Dark)
Red
Red (Dark)
Red (Warm)
Ice
Green (1)
Green (2)

Holy crap cul8er!



This is gettin' better and better...

One thing though I really liked the solid yellow bars and background as it was a nice little eyecatcher and imho had a very readable contrast (black on dark yellow)!
I sure as well know that with such a large user base it's hard to satisfy everybody's needs

So by bringing us color themes you've outdone yourself again on that behalf and leave color choices to our sore eyes...

But is there any way we could have a solid color option in the config which would not blend the selected color with black, or even more nifty have the user set the blending percentage?

Just to let you know of whats next on my list for next version;
* make option in skin configuration for music playlist (current design and a design lookling like now playing..more fanart oriented)

So that leaves me with one thing on the todo list and that will probably be finished tonight. So the question is...where do we go next? What areas of the skin do you think need my attension? What is missing, what can be better.

Abut xfactor fanart handler plugin!

hi cul8er ! first thank you for R396 update ... i just love the fanart plugin it work great ..very cool ...

one thing if a artist no have fanart , i see black beackgrownd ..... i thing one user ask if no have fanart so we can see the music backgrownd .... so do it sposs to work like that ?

Thank you for your feedback The issue with fanart is resolved and will be part of the new release within a couple of days (along with optional music playlist view and color theme). See issue here (Issue 110 - x-factor - Fanart plugin request - Project Hosting on Google Code).
