Not sure what your looking for Stig.

LatestMediaHandler has no language settings as such and it's upto the skin with what it does with the data.
My recording mod handles translations fully or at least it should?

Yeah, you're mod working great. But I don't know where to change a wrong translation of LatestMediaHandler. Is this skin or latestmedia related?

Is this something your seeing in the skin or the name of the plugin viewed in MP-Configuration? I don't see a translation setting for it anywhere, you might need to ask on the LatestMediaHandler forum.

A picture says more than 1000 words:

The RecordingStart should read "Beginn" in german, not "Länge"

Ah! ok, go to the language folder ---> C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\language

And you can edit the German language file: strings_de.xml

I used this ID: <String id="267">Time</String> you can find the same one in the .de file.
