That's why there is a TVSeries only thread under the Aeon skin section, the one supplied is a basic working version that needs no actions from user, just do not want to throw a spanner in the works for a newbie.

imho is confused (a lot). No formatting rules or logo rules, no logo image files.

In the default uou should correct variable on the right first aired label because is not correct.. overlap the label

:sorry: but my thought tvseries user don't switch to this skin without a lot of trouble and that thread is not enough to start. Someome shoud create a zip file in the first post with a tvseries.XML (standard the 1.2 default cuold be perfect, I like it). Add the logo images rules and formatting rules to allow tvseries user have logo and mediainfo data.

SleepTimer with Aeon skin - please help

Hi all!

I decided to try this skin, and it DOES look really nice!

However, there is something not quite right for me: I rely a lot on the SleepTimer plugin:
MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - SleepTimer

Unfortunately this plugin is not accepted by Aeon skin, it gives an error message when selecting it from the "Plugins" menu. Would it be really dificult to include this plugin as well? I really hope there is not a lot of work involved...

At this stage, I am using Aeon Wide (on 1366x768, 46" screen) and I have to switch to Blue Two, activate the SleepTimer plugin, then switch back to Aeon skin... The plugin does not really works properly as it does not display the "60" and "120" min text on the buttons, but it works and it does the job for me.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I'm not following you here. In that thread there are 5 different looks for the MyTVSeries plugin. They all support logorules but only number 4 have the formatting rules what I can see. Personally I use the number 4 one and I get logos and I haven't noticed any overlaps.

There is no trouble to change to any of the 5 mentioned. Just download the TVSeries.xml file you like in the first post in the above thread and replace the one in your skin directory.

What is the error message being displayed? It's hard to help if we don't have all the info needed.
You might check the log and paste the relevant section here for more help.

You can find it on sourceforge. Go to MP-TVSeries. The Installation and Readme.txt explains how to use the logo's and rules.

ok. I've downloaded it but there is some problems. Some background panels is missing. no xml support codec audio, video media info. the logo work fine. Imho in Aeon wide tv series thread someone should release a ZIP file in the first thread with:

1) the tvseries.xml from 1.2 (not 5-6 versions one version)
2) the logo rules
3) the logo files
4) the formatting rules
5) xml with media info data beside runtime, codec audio/video labels.

logos and media info should be consider minimun features for any tvseries compliant skin. imho.

as Indigo skin. it work fine.

Try out TV Like sleep and use something like girder to map it to a remote button (or use multishortcut to create a DLL)

Actually was annoyed that this was not possible in MP so I kinda looked for something that will do the trick instead of writing my own plugin from scratch (you know,I'm lazy )

The error message is probably because you're missing a skin file. Just copy paste it from the blue two skin directory and you'll have a head start. It probably will look horrible but at least you might be able to use it. Skinning isn't really that hard (at least when there's already something you can work from like blue two) and if you'd take some time you probably will be able to fix a nice layout for aeon wide (just look at other aeon wide files)

The solution I suggested is a little more flexible I guess (more control over time)

I've just done a fresh 1.2 (Aeon wide.1013.rar) install from the main site, and the DVD menu item is not working. With a DVD in the drive, selecting the DVD item on the basichome screen does nothing.

I understood from a few earlier posts here that this was to be fixed in this release. Is there a patch or workaround I need to apply beyond whats in the release?

You need to have the "Play DVD" plugin enabled in MP Configuration for starters.
Second, you might need a recent SVN version. As far as I remember this used to be impossible in the past, so I suspect it was added in SVN, not sure about this one though.
