About issue 1

1: What do I edit to move the pageup/pagedown elements (inside the red square in "list view" screenshot)

You'd have to change the <spinposX> and <spinposY> tags.

The rest I dunno myself so sorry you'd have to wait for a more experienced skinner coming along (please let it be soon so emph can finish it )

Hmmm. I have disabled the overlay for my Moving Pictures.xml, yet when you press F9 in the details view, the "now playing" overlay is shown. Any "accomplished" skinner care to share a way of hiding it there as well?

Edit: Nevermind this post, I think it was something else that caused this.

Use the Menu Generator to regenerate you menu. Add the movingpictures.xml file to your customized menu.

I changed the scrolloffset to the Filmstrip view so when you get to the middle cover on your screen, the currently selected film will stay in the middle.
