When you change the Album in the ID3-Tag, you see the old entry in the Musicview. A reorganization will not be help.

Steps to reproduce:

1. change the Album in the ID3-Tag
2. go to the Albumview in Mediaportal
3. You see the old entry it is not deleted

Logs are missing. Can you show screen prints of tags before and after and logs of scan

I will post the Logs and the Screnshots later. But I noticed that this happens only when you delete the Album Entry in the ID3-Tag. Then it will not be updated. When you only change the Album Entry it works.

Here are the Logs ans Screenshots. You can see that before the change and after change of the ID3-Tag it shows the Album in the Musicview. I have done a Music reorganization.

So in this case you have set the album to empty from an existing value?

I can not replicate this.

I just took an album (AC/DC - Black in Black) and updated all the tracks to have an empty album tag. Did a full re-import and the album disappears form the list. (and is replaced by blank). After this it looks exactly the same as if I had done a totally clean scan of the database.

In the screenshots in your logs I am not sure where this shows that the album still exists.

What do you mean with full re import ? I had only update the database from the MediaPortal gui.

I just selected import from MP config (which does the same thing as from within MediaPortal).

The only thing I can think that would make a difference is the "only import tracks since xxx" option. If this is set but your tagging software does not update the timestamp of the file then it will not be picked up by the scan.
