I personaly can see absolutly no reason for this setting and so far it has caused more trouble than its worth.

So can someone explain a reason behind this addition and what it does, how to dissable it and best settings.

    This may help others users.

The default will be moron safe soon: 0-24
In fact it is a very useful setting for people who want to safe energy but use multi seat - or use that MP machine as file server for music and videos as well.

    Sorry for being cryptic .

Defult was set at 0-5 and VISTA refused to run shutdown/hibernation.

I had to reboot get the addition

2008-05-20 16:52:57.608053 [TVService]: PowerScheduler: Allowed stop time set to: 5 hour

As this didn't register previously even with service stop/start.

Have it set to 24hr now.

you can set it to some odd settings like first number higher than second ie 15 - 3, i hope the code can cope with negatives.

Or are the sttings in reference to clock time ie 15 -3 ; stopt time allowed between 15:00 and 03:00 only?

Hu? Thought I know all options but that I haven't seen yet. Is this option in SVN19127?

It got me too... And I have played around with most settings from time to time but this one got me to suspect a bug and revert back to an older SVN. Then someone told me about this new setting...

Can anyone please explain what this setting does ?

When the setting is set to 0 to 12, does this mean shutdowns will only be executed within 0 and 12 o'clock or does it mean that powerscheduler is not allowed to send the PC to sleep for a longer time than 12 hours ?

Will I get the old behaviour when I set it to 0 to 24 ? -My experiences with the setting make me guess so.
What is the advantge of this setting ???

    Thanks Tobi

Yes, it means, that the Powerscheduler will only shutdown the PC between 0 and 12 for example. As stated above, in the next SVN release the default setting will be 0-24.

sounds like something I would want, but thats a new feature what is it doing in here now when RC1 is supposed to be getting fixed for RC2, not introducing yet more potential bugs?

Welll - there have been serveral "bug reports" and even more questions about "How to avoid that the TV-Server PC is going into standby while I am doing non-TV stuff on my MP clients (like watching movies)" - so regard this as an attempt to "fix" this inappropriate behaviour.
