- Subfolder for cover art should be easy - I'll add that to the 'Add Prefix to cover art filename' field so it can support \ character.
- Movies in Subfolders - I thought this was working okay. Can you provide a sample folder structure and what it does / doesn't do for you?

It's working now but not as I'd :
Filenames are stored like :

F:\divx\movie 1.avi
F:\divx\serie1\episode1.avi
F:\divx\serie1\episode2.avi
...
F:\divx\serie2\film1.avi
F:\divx\serie2\film2.avi
...
F:\dvd\dvd1\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
F:\dvd\dvd1\\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_0.VOB
....

for Scan Path to movie : F:\divx;f:\dvd
If I use 'Folder Name for Group identifier', I get the parent folder (divx or dvd) as group identifiers. I'll prefer to get only a group for subfolders of my scan path. So serie1, serie2 and dvd1
Is it clear ? Groups should be detect only for subfolders of the path given for scanning

- Same again with the Original Title. I just tested with latest IMDB and it works fine. Example is 'Elizabeth : The Golden Age' - definitely being updated since the filename does not (can not) have a : in it! Can you give me an example which doesn't work for you, and with which script?

I think I was wrong as I give filename as Original Title handling and not Filename+Internet Lookup....
I do a right test and it seems to work fine.

Which script do you use ? It's working for me with ci****on script. Of course you have to use another field than URL to store movie filenames.

Tke Original Title seems to not be stored during Internet Lookup. I always get the movie filename without extension in that field. It's rigth if there is no info found during Internet Lookuo but should be overwritten by Internet Info.

Yay - glad it's working for you

Zebons was referring to people who store the location of their movies in the URL field of the Ant database - it seems fairly common. MyFilms supports using URL, Source or other fields when searching for movies to run. By default it's Source in MyFilms and AMCUpdater, so probably not a problem for you.

Hi Zebons,

Confirmed - the logic for Group Names is a bit crude; it needs some work to cope with more than one level of folders. It should use the parent of the file scanned; not the top-level folder.

I'll post again when I have it fixed - should be easy enough.

That bit should be working... Have a look on the Database Fields tab and ensure your "Original Title Handling" is set to include Internet Lookup. If that isn't done then the movie title should just be the filename, though it should strip off the extension as well as applying any filters defined on the Scan Filters tab.

Hi Zebons,

I've now added support for the cover images to be stored in a subfolder. At present only one level of folders is permitted though. On the Database Fields tab you can enter a relative path in the 'Add Prefix to Cover Art Filename' field. It must be relative - e.g. "Foldername\" and it must have the trailing \ character. Otherwise I can't tell if it is a folder name or a prefix to add to the filename. I've added validation to that field with advice on what values are permitted.

I've made some changes to the Group Name system. It should work fine for video files, but I'm not sure about DVD images yet. Please give it a go and let me know what you think.

Hey guys, nice app!

Is it supposed to grab the dvd art too ?

I only very quickly installed this and played around last night and I noticed it grabbed the title, description etc.. but no image for the movies.
Is that normal or have I missed something?

It should get the cover art too - I assume you're using the IMDB script? Check this thread a few pages back for an updated version of that script. Depending on where you downloaded from, you may have an old copy and the images were broken recently. New one should be fine, and image download is on by default.
