Hi z3us,

Preventing a re-scan of moved files was very easy - now done. It'll be in the next release.
Checking for subtitles has been slightly accidentally forgotten :sorry:
It's on the list now so I'll see what I can do. It would be a good addition to have.

Cheers,

Orion.

Okay - first draft version with external subtitle support is now in the first post in this thread.

z3us - and everyone - please have a play if you use external subtitle files, and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Orion.

Can you explain the function "Purge orphan records"?

When i active this function, i noticed the following:

Field "Source":
it was the path to the movie file before. Now it show only the movie name. ie: it was: "D:\...\300.avi, now it is only "300.avi" and therefore when i click to play it in MP, it say "please insert a disk" :(

Purge Orphan records - checks to see if any entries in your database refer to files that no longer exist. If so, they are removed from the database. This will only apply if the location of the 'missing' file is the same location being scanned. So, a database entry for 'c:\movies\blah.avi' will be removed if you scan c:\movies\ and the file is not found. However, if you scan c:\movies and there is a database entry referring to d:\movies\film.avi then it will not be removed - because the program only checks the location it is scanning.

I don't think that's the reason for your problem though - it sounds like you have 'Store files with name only (discard path data)' enabled on the Options tab. With that option enabled, your files will be referenced in the Source field as you describe - just the filename. If you do this then you must ensure MyFilms is configured to search for films by name, and that you have given it the location of your movie collection. Then it will find them automatically.

Hope that helps!

Orion.

Glad that worked!

With the subtitles - can you please confirm the file names, and confirm you have 'Subtitles' enabled on the Database Fields tab (sorry, have to ask that one!). PM me if you're concerned about privacy.

Thanks,

Orion.

Hi

I have the following file name and the follwing subtitle
- Babylon A.D.[2008].DVDRIP.XVID.[Eng]-DUQA
- Babylon A.D.[2008].DVDRIP.XVID.[Eng]-DUQA.srt
All in the same folder.
I already enable 'subtitle" on the database fields tab.
After running, the subtitle field on ANT database is still blank

Please instruct me how to do
Thank you very much

Hmm - that's odd. I just tested by naming some test files with those names (I assumed the first file is a .avi?) and it works fine. The subtitles field in Ant says 'External Subtitles'.

Can you send me your config file - maybe there's something weird in there.

I assume you're using 0.8.5 of AMCUpdater?

Thanks,

Orion.
