The channels are not available will not be marked as red. There are all as green (available) is displayed.

My Final with the 1.0.0 it would have done that. Can they still come somewhere bitter?

Problem occurs when SG2 and my Samsung Tablet on

Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems trying to stream using the FFMpeg profiles? I can stream with VLC no problem, but haven't once gotten it to work with the FFMpeg. It doesn't make a difference whether I use internal or external MX Player. I am on an SGS2. I also attached the logs just in case. You can see toward the end where I tried to play "10 Things I Hate About You" and it didn't work. I always get an error on the player saying something along the lines of "couldn't load video."

    Any pointers would be excellent!

    Thanks!

Are your shares local or mapped drives?
Neither, they are simply network shares (not mapped to a drive), i.e. \\host\share

You need to ensure the mpextended service has access to the folders.
The shares are accessible via a guest account, but I configured the Credentials of another User Account (that has access to these shares) as well within the MPExtended Service. MPExtended reported a successful connection, when testing the credentials.

Works fine for me at least. Channels that are not available were marked red.

Mate this is just a stab in the dark but i noticed in your log that you are trying to play it at HQ. Have you tried to use a lower setting?

I had firewall dramas with mine and had to manually set up mpextended so I'm not sure how it autosets itself. But if it doesn't allow all services to the executable you shouldn't have gotten it reporting a successful connection I guess.

If I were you I'd install webmediaportal (partner program to mpextended) and check if you get the same behaviour. That way you can help report or troubleshoot the error in the appropriate threat because, at this stage, it's a bit unclear which is the culprit.

I'll try. But I always had this problem, even with GMAWebservices back then.

I've been using aMPdroid for about two days now. General impression: VERY GOOD. Great WAF also (she got the hang of it in about 30 seconds). Using it on a HTC wildfire with cyanogen mod 7, TV streaming using internal player works good on FFmpeg LQ (which is enough for its purpose)

However, when I'm in the remote section of ampdroid and choose 'menu->plugins' and then select a plugin, I just get a white screen. Is this a certain development thing, or am I missing something?

I can't access my server at the moment to test but I know there are certain screens that can't be replicated on the phone / tablet.

Actually.. don't. Webmediaportal doesn't show the videoshares. It taps into moving pictures, tvseries and live tv only - not the video shares. My bad.

I'm not sure how to replicate this problem. If you set up a local folder (even if you just dump a dummy file in it) will it show up? I'm wondering if it's a bug with network shares in some configurations. I run my mpextended from the fileserver so all files are local to it but they are stored in UNC format (because the databases and configs are shared across multiple clients).

EDIT: Ok... so in the MPExtendedsection where you added in the credentials that's only for mapped drives according to the info. It may be coded to only use that info when accessing mapped drives - not full UNC Paths. Secondly you'll notice streaming is not supported.

I set up a UNC path to another machine and the folder showed up but nothing in it - same as you - after giving it the right credentials. So I really think you need to set up the mpextended service under a username that can access those shares (you can do this in the services property dialogue in Windows - it's pretty self evident once you open it up).

Edit2: Can confirm this works. Give it a shot.

In itself I don't think it's a big problem, if the option just brought you into the desired plugin while aMPdroid would remain on the 'remote'. I found out that the top right button (the '...') brings you to the current displayed list, so that would be more than enough functionality. But al in all, it remains a matter of pressing 'back' on my phone one time. I don't know however, if its that simple on a tablet without a 'back'button.
