I am having a weird issue in Moving Pictures where ampdroid shows the incorrect image (thumbnail) for a movie. When I click into the movie, the larger poster image is correct.

When I originally set it up it was fine, but then I realized that I needed to use a UNC path instead of a mapped drive letter, so I removed the drive in moving pictures and added the UNC path. I can now stream movies, but the thumbs are screwed up.

I tried clearing the thumbs in ampdroid and I pulled up moving pictures in the client to make sure that the images are correct there, and they are.

Anyone have any advice on this one? Do I need to delete the moving pictures database and fanart folders?

MpExtended also keeps a local cache, maybe that's where the wrong image comes from...

In MPExtended 0.4, you can try to delete %TEMP%\MPExtended.

I actually found that %TEMP% took me to the wrong location.

If you are running Win7, the easiest thing to do is just to search for mpextended, then remove any sub directories called imagecache for each of your search results.

Mine was in C:\windows\temp, C:\users\default\local settings\temp, and I think one other place. That did fix it for me.

Hey DieBagger I had an interesting idea that I wanted to run past you.

I'm not sure what method ampdroid uses to stream videos from MP->Android tablet, but does it use the DLNA / uPnP protocol???

If so then ampdroid with very little modification could be used to allow people to use a WDTV hub (and other DLNA devices) as a media extender for mediaportal. Basically from my windows PC I can right click on a video file and choose to play on the WDTV using DLNA/uPnP. If so then I could just browse my media library within ampdroid while sitting in front of my TV with WDTV connected, and then choose a movie/tv series/tv recording and click play on WDTVas a 3rd option (in addition to play on MP / play on tablet).

In addition to WDTV a lot of TVs now have inbuilt DLNA/uPnP so with ampdroid you could use any new TV as a mediaextender for MP.

Even if Ampdroid didn't use uPnP/DLNA to get video files from HTPC(MP) -> Android Device, then I'm sure it wouldn't require much to add uPnP support to MP (it's integrated into Win7 already, you just have to send a command to stream the video file to the target device) You don't have to worry about creating a uPnP library as the library can be browsed on the android device. You just need to add the function to tell windows to stream XXXXX video file to XXXXX uPnP/DLNA device.

EDIT: This is a sample script to stream a local video file from the PC to a uPNP device (WDTV)
