No at the moment there is a problem with the latest Vplayer version and ampdroid.

DieBagger is fixing it in the next version.
    See a few threads before.

    near all is working :)

    Remote:

    Genesis Odys 8.4" touch-tablet (660Mhz Android 2.1 and not upgradeable :-( )

    working:

    remote (all functions)
MPseries - all funktions incl. thumbs (had to change path for WinXP in the config.XML of GMA)
Music - all functions incl. thumbs
video (the MePe Video Database - i don't use Moving-Pictures)

    not working:

video: the thumbs are not shown on the tablet :-(
and i am not sure where i did the mistake (path should be ok.)

    @ dieBagger - and all

where is the GMA tool geting the video-thumbs?
try to find it - while i took a look @ the working thumps of MPSeries
but i can't find the/my mistake why the video-thumbs/poster-thumbs are not shown on the tablett @ videos

    EDIT:

and how to use "share" ?
i don't have any on the client where GMA runs
    - only on the TV-server ( i use multi-seat installation)

Re: [Android] aMPdroid 0.6 - Android Remote Control

    Hi diebagger..

I notice serious battery drain after closing the app. It seems that aMPdroid stays active. I did some testing with current widget. Where my normal drain is 5-7 aM, I had values like the screen was turned on.
So to be clear.. after closing aMPdroid (hitting home button) and screen turned off, there was battery drain off about 150-250 mA.
When I force closed aMPdroid in settings, the drain went directly back to normal values.

Maybe others here can do some tests to confirm. Or maybe It's something in aMPdroid.

By the way, this is one of my favourite apps already. I can now control my music when I'm relaxing in the garden without having to go inside to change music.
    Thanx

Can you check if the battery usage is still higher if you disconnect before exiting aMPdroid (Menu->Disconnect)?

Any idea why aMPdroid is unable to connect after stand-by and resuming MP ?
It works everytime if I restart the PC (MP is on autostart).
Try to install the just released version 0.2 of wifiremote (has a fix for resume from standby)

    @ eagle

did not test the "hardcore" action ... (allways on)

but yesterday it was enought for playin around (my wife - some app-games)
testing around (aMPdroid) the whole day ... (only "standby" allowed /display off i think)

so it is ok i think to use this device as a remote the hole day or 2, 3 (not streaming).
if the streaming feature will work i think not more than 5 - 6 hours (am stück)

    few seconds ago:
just ordered @ conrad the Archos 7 Home Tablet. (smaller with 7" display) - 139 Euro.
think that'll hold longer with a full charged accu.

sorry for asking again @ DieBagger

when i use the tablet with the video-menu (NOT streaming) -
aMPdroid does not show the thumbs of the movie-covers (in Series-menu it does)
a hint for me - have done a complete scan of my Movie-Folders under MePo with the internal MePo-Database.
(still not a friend of moving picture ...)
have used original GMA path to the thumbs - and a manual path - no difference -

    Original (think for win7)
    <thumb name="videos" path="C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Videos" virtualpath="/banners/videos/"/>

    WinXP path:
    <thumb name="videos" path="C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Videos\Title" virtualpath="/banners/videos/"/>
no covers - just the place-holder-thumbs (also der filmstreifen)
tried it WITH "Title" and without - couse i do not know if the aMPdroid
needs clear name (same as the file is named) - or the internal "number"...
    Database is V5

    any idea/hint?

The thumbs view uses fanart, so make sure you have have loaded fanart in myvideos...

Check the xml returned by http://localhost:44321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/MP_GetAllVideos ... Does it contain links to the fanart images?

    fanart ?? ohhhh :(

hmm think thats it - couse i dissabled fanart on my HTPC-Clients (too much "bling-bling")
strange that it works with MP-Series althought fanart is disabled :(

thought it is similar to MePo myVideo views with the "folder.jpg" ...
and DB creates the thumb similar to the "movie-name.jpg"

but a good hint - that fanart is needed for the thumbs :D

    EDIT:

    only the thumbs-view?

cause same was in "poster-view" - no covers (default-view i think IS poster-view)
(i just named the covers "thumbs" - couse they are so small on the tablet :D - my own irritation)
