Hi all

My experience.

System: Vista SP2 x86 (main system), (also on 2x Win 7 x64)

Remote: Working
TV: Working after opening the port mentioned in the install guide.
Music: Working
TVSeries: Working
Moving Pictures: Working
Shares: Working
Videos: Not Tested: not sure what suposed to be there (guesing the standard videos db)

Use IP not the Host name in setup. (host name not working for me).

Installed this on 3 computers now. and all working grate!
Very very very promising 1 release.
So no bug report for now

Does the below explanation below mean that it is possble when I am at work to connect home with the app and use the same functions, TV, remote control, streaming (when link to the player is fixed) and all the other great functions?

If possible what should I do?

Wow - that's some great piece of work!

Only suggestion from my side - You should put the info about the default User / Password for the Connection (admin/admin) in the first page - this is exactly wheer I also made teh first mistake - using only Hostname for connecting results in working the remotecontrol only. putting admin / admin in makes the Video and Co working.

What I aldo did (as for some streaming issues over the network with serviio for example) - put a user in teh gwa Webservice which has the rights to acess teh Networkshare (it's my local user and Password instead of teh Local system account).

What I realy love - teh copy to device - this is some good idea - waiting for streamingoption and Tabletsupport

nice app, but i have a problem, when i connect to Mediaportal it says "succeed connetion" but when i go to remote and tap an arrow or a key it says " remote not connected"

What is the problem?

Try to press "Menu" on your phone and then select 'Connect'. This helped me.

There is a bug (already fixed in svn) where it will say "connection succeeded" even if auto-connect isn't set (so the connection wasn't actually made).

i have a problem with the remote. i have to say that i am testing over internet but ports are configured in firewall etc and only same things are not working:

i can connect to movies and series
but if i try to use remote, every time i try to use a button i have this error: not connected to remote service.
if i try to connect the program says "connected" but if i try a button the error appears.

another question: do i have to use different ports for gma service and remote?
sorry for my bad english ;-)

It worked, now it is connected, but nothing happen when i press on the arrows and keys?

now remote works.
i but two problems i do still have:

1) tv says: no connection to service. do i have to configure tv4home? port is open
2) in tv series i can play a video on pc, but when i try to download it says: received authentification challange is null
