[Android] aMPdroid 0.8 - Streaming and more (1 Viewer)

I've uploaded the GMA 0.3.2 release to codeplex. See message in the GMA thread for more information.

It works great on my Samsung Galaxy SII - however, on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 it does not want to play files - it stop after pressing the stream (shows a black screen and nothing plays).

Galaxy Tab 10.1 is based upon the original Galaxy S, so it has the same problems.

Any eta on new version for galaxy 10.1 fix?

No progress yet.

There will be no special fix for the galaxy series, you have to wait for the next major release.

Not true. I might release a GMA version with VLC sometime, if I get VLC working with the SGS. It currently works, but crashes after 3 seconds.

No dice, they got my logs and there is a bug that creates two streams and that makes it void -

Didn't fix that bug yet. Thanks for the reminder.

sooo..... when you say that on a sgs streaming doesn´t work....I dont know if you talk of all streaming or only live tv streaming.???

Internal player. The fact that it's disabled is another bug, but as it seems to happen only on phones where the streaming doesn't work it's not very useful to fix yet.

I still think livetv streaming will work without vlc as long as the double stream bug will be fixed. Pretty please, cant u fix and release a version for that. We know the galaxy can handle the stream since we tested that manually right.

Wow thanks for the great application! Finally sorted it out and it works like a charm on my HTC Desire Z running mediaportal 1.2.1! Just love it! I made video to showcase all its functions if anyone is keen to have a look! with all the issues on this thread I thought it might be good to make a howto video of the steps i took to get it all working! Well, if you think it can be fixed, everything is open source, so go ahead. I don't recall that we had it working with ffmpeg and the internal player.

Also, the double stream bug is an aMPdroid bug which I can't fix.

Been trying to get this plugin working for a while and I'm sure these questions will be fairly easy to sort but I can't seem to find the answer
My first question relates to username and passwords in both GMA and VNP setups. Where do these get set ?

Tried on my friends samsung galaxy phone it work! Then i updated my HTC phone (HD2) to android 2.3.6. The stream is now working perfectly.

Thanks for everyone who's had some input into this awesome application namely DieBagger!!! I've made a bit more of an in-depth how-to following the instructions step-by-step and recorded it! Hopefully this helps with beginners as it starts right from at the start from where to go to download the required apps all the way through setting up the app on the phone. I am running XP Pro so i've included where to go to change the paths etc...

DieBagger feel free to include this in the first page as part of the instructions. If you want me to make some changes also just let me know here and I'll do it!

This app was working great for me when I was running MP 1.1.3 but with MP 1.2.1 I have found it to be more stable! Thanks!!

Btw I noticed that you used "More commands -> Stop" to stop the video. You can also trigger a stop by long-pressing the pause button on the bottom bar (should probably indicated that somehow ).

Thanks for the tip! I wasn't aware I could do that. I added in a message at that point in the video to let users know that you can also stop by long pressing the pause button!

Absolutely I made it to help out where I could I can't program so I wanted to help lighten the load elsewhere. Please use it where you like.
