on your Desire HD it must be your Configuration, on my DHD with stock rom and on my Sensation it works withaut any problems.
Did you enable the reconnect option, then disable it, its a little buggy.

Does this still work with the latest MP 1.2.1? since doing a clean install of 1.2.1 it just refuses to connect to anything, tried reinstalling ampdroid, wifi remote, and gma configued it the same as i did with MP 1.2.0 and can't get it working, had no problems setting it all up before.

Are the links in the 1st post up to date and link to the latest versions of wifi remote and GMA?

I am able to connect to wifi remote fine with the demo client.

What logs should I get and where will I find them?

I've good news for all people with a Galaxy-device: There's a Galaxy S next to me on the table with working streaming!

Not yet, added to feature list for next version.

It should work. GMA log files are available in C:\ProgramData\GmaWebService. Have you tried to follow the troubleshooting section on the wiki?

What about logs from the phone for ampdroid itself? I need a logging app don't I to get those? can you recommend one?

Can you access GMA from another PC? It sounds a lot like you've trouble with your firewall.

You can get aMPdroid logs with apps like ALogcat, but I don't think these help much in your case.
