I have a VERY small alignment issue with the osd1 status bar at the bottom of the page in Recorded TV. The start and end times are nearly at the bottom of the bar. You should be able to see it in the screen grab below.

I am running in 1280x720, so I dunno if this is contributing to the issue.

Also when in My Videos playing a recorded file there is no elapsed time displayed in the centre of the status bar. Where the one above says "0:46" when playing a recorded file (AVI) there is nothing displayed at all. Maybe this is a MediaPortal issue and not a RealMP issue.

Finally when in My Videos playing a pre-recorded file and hit the pause button, the status bar above does not display at all. When you continue play, you see the status bar flash by quickly before normal play resumes. The status bar appears normally on Fast Forward/Rewind and on the info screen, just not on the pause screen. Again maybe a Mediaportal Issue?

I see your alignment issue, havent noticed this myself yet, but will look into it.

When pause you should actually get only the bottom timeline bar but instead of a play symbol have a pause symbol there. This works fine for me. Same goes for ffw/rwd etc which you say works for you. Makes me thinks its a problem with the version of MP that your using. Im using vanilla RC2 and it works fine.

Also you say that the elapsed time doesnt display sometimes, did I understand you correctly? But only when playing recorded TV, it works with avi files? Maybe its an issue with your codec, works for me. Can you try with a different skin and see if it works. I seriously have no idea how that could be, all I can do is tell it to display the elapsed time in the skin and that tag is the same for all files. So again I'm thinking a problem with your version of MP and/or Mpeg2 codec.

Firstly, everything works fine in Recorded TV. It is "My Videos" that is having the problem. I am using clean install of RC2 with no updates.

I tried this with Blue Two and I get the same problem, I don't get the timeline bar. Sorry, I should have tried this first.

Yes the elapsed time does not dislpay for me when playing a video (AVI or MPEG) from "My Videos".

With RealMP the start time and the end time (movie length) stay the same throughout the whole video. There is a graphical line that advances in the timeline bar from the left to right as you advance through the video. But there is no elapsed time in the top middle like there is when watching a movie in 'Recorded TV"

With Blue Two everything works completely different. The start time advances as the video plays, in effect giving you the duration time. Also the "End Time" or movie length time counts down as the movie advances.

Here's an example for Blue Two, let's say you are 10 minutes into watching a 2 hour movie.

the start time would display 10:00
the end time would display -01:50

if you are 15 minutes into watching the same movie

the start time would display 15:00
the end time would display -01:45


Note the minus "-" sign before the end time indicating that it is a count down of the time left. I tried to get a screen grab to make it clearer, but the system starts catching motion instead of stills when in "My Videos" ???

As I said above, when I pause with either skin I don't get the timeline bar. It flashes by briefly when I resume play. So this is obviously a problem on my system!

If nobody else is experiencing this problem in "My Videos" then please don't waste any time on it. It is as you say, most likely something to do with my installation.

Hi Inker,

I've got now some days testing and get used to this new and very nice skin.
Just want to give a feedback about the things I figured out:

- blue tv-osd looks very nice!
- I think this osd would even fit better as video-osd --> would like the tv-osd even in myvideos
- osd that comes up when winding looks very nice, too --> this one should even be in mytv
- I wonder why background of progress bar in this osd is dark green, it I I it could be blue or something like that?
- even found a bug, when i would like to record a show that has a long description in epg data:

All in all it's a very nice skin, that's become my favorite skin!

Bug in My music

Now to the bug...

I running WinAmp plugin so I get the music in 2ch.. It´s seens that the skin or MP freeze when a song is selected. It plays nice but it´s no respond in MP..

Only way to stop is ctrl+F4...

Hope this is possible to solve..

Regarding the overlap between epg data and tv guide recording dates, I think the bug was "inherited" from the mce skin, it has the same small flaw. Apart for that, really a Great skin!

I knew it, I had to be the one that cannot get it to work

why, why, why is it always me who can't get crap to work right the first time. EVERYone else can download the skin unzip it, and copy to the skins fold and have it work.

When I do and select to new downloaded skin in MPsetup then try to run MP.. the new skin will not load.. All i get is an error message.

Why people, am I that dumb.
Someone help me so I can be like you lucky poeple that enjoy this beautiful skin.

Maybe some information such as: What the error message was, current version of MediaPortal installed, etc would be helpful.
