Can anyone point me to a working solution to get this case working with MediaPortal. I have searched the net and it looks like there are tons of solutions which makes it impossible to see the forest for the trees. I have a V2 black case which comes with a RM200 remote. Thanks !

    I have a V2 black case which comes with a RM200 remote.

    - install Windows, SPs, Updates, .net 3.5 with SP1, Visual C++ 2005 and 2008
    - install ffdshow, Haali splitter
    - install MP 1.0.2
    - install Soundgraph iMon manager von Antec CD or download latest from the official website (needs reboot)
    - after reboot iMon manager starts automatically, choose iMon Pad as remote
    - open iMon Manager and configure it (uncheck "show that strange blue button on desktop", let iMon Manager control the display at least once -> go to section "frontview" and set it to on and apply, after this set "frontview" to never; make a software update if you will and disable updates afterwards; configure your Remote as you want: go to program control, add app "Mediaportal", and assign the R200 buttons to MP keyboard shortcuts KeyboardShortcuts_General - MediaPortal Manual Documentation , if you have Volume Knob, configure it to "default sound device" be aware: you must have proper audiodriver installed, not from Windows)
    - open MP configuration tool, go to Plugins section, activate "minidisplay plugin", click "configure", choose Soundgraph device and USB as port, click "test display" (frontview must be off!)
    - remote section of MP is not important, iMon manager will send keyboard strokes to Mediaportal on receiving IR signals of your R200, as you configured

test your setup, use your brain, ask for help here if helpless, give me a thank if this helped. This is only a quick guide and maybe not correct on every points.

There are some preconfigured config files here in forum (.imo files) you can simply load also. The basic left-right-up-down-OK buttons must be configured under Windows commands, and cannot be assigned under Apps.

Some Antec cases need to be recabled to be able to wake system from standby with remote. Black Antec cases with LCD displays does not work with Microsoft MCE Remote if Minidisplay runs. Details here in Forum.

Thanks kszabo. It works wonderful !

However, I do have one slight issue. The options to use the keyboard up down left right functions

The basic left-right-up-down-OK buttons must be configured under Windows commands, and cannot be assigned under Apps.

Those are greyed out in Imon manager...Anything to resolve this ?:sorry:

    *edit

Trying to solve this using this solution https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ping-mediaportal-29442/index6.html#post341277

but can't seem to find this file in Vista...

I formulated false. They are preconfigured there and cannot be edited, leave them. Under applications you cannot assign a functions to these buttons (IR signals) becasue thes are already reserved under windows, and will be used always = plays no role which application is "in focus" (= running with activated window)

Ok kszabo, thanks. I'm asking this question because I would like to know how to get rid of the mouse cursor once I open MediaPortal. When I navigate MediaPortal menus using the remote Pad the mouse cursor shows up, making it very hard to navigate smoothly. I want to use the pad up down left right as they do using the keyboard but now it acts like a regular mouse.

This is an another issue. You have to push the mouse/arrows mode switch button of your iMon Pad so the center piece works like keyboard arrows and not as mouse. If this does not function, make a Soundgraph manager software update (with older version I had the problem that I could not switch into arrows mode).

Also there are some freeware programs they put the cursor into the right upper corner (=invisible) after ca. 3 sec inactivity.

    hello!
i'm using antec fusion v2 with vfd and imon software 7.6 something.
the minidisplay plugin itself works fine, but as soon as i reboot, mp doesn't activate the vfd anymore. only if i set frontview to auto/always it will activate and in mp it will work fine until i shut down. as frontview is set to never, i'm at the beginning again.

if it helps: i have to use the old sg_vfd.dll in setup to make it work.

it seems that if imon is not running everything works fine, but i got no remote then.

    thanks for ur help.

I have a harmony 555. Got it to work with the antec ir reciever. I have chosen it to emulate a mce remote. Though, there are a couple buttons on the remote wich I cannot map with the imon manager. The guide info, menu exit and so on. Anyone know how to do that? And, wich keys is it to show my tv and so on? Greatful for help!
