Antec Fusion v2 IR - How to use w/MediaPortal (2 Viewers)

I believe the LCD shoukd be able to be controlled by the MiniDisplay plugin - the reciever by IRSS.

The LCDisplay makes no problem. Minidisplay works good with it. IRSS does not reckognize iMon hardware (Sensor) at all (I see this in the logs of IRSS). I tried latest version (1.4.2 I think) with iMon stuff included.

IR-Sensor works good with iMon Pad, but not with MCE Remote. If Frontview is deactivated, MCE does not work any more. Strangely iMon Pad still works. If I activate Mnidisplay, it deactivates Frontview and my MCE Remote at the same time with it. That´s the situation.

1 workaround I know: use Logitech Harmony as iMon Pad. Then I have Display+Minidisplay, IR through iMonManager and even the Volume Knob works. The original iMon pad is a disaster in my eyes. I hate it.

This MCE-IR problem was not to see with the VFD Display of my friend.

I set this up for a firend:
IR-sensor: The one used in Fusion (430, I think - not Fusion Remote)
Remote: Logitech as MCE-remote
IRSS: The "do it yourself" patches that is included in later ver

This worked without problems. I'll see if I can can find the guide I used.

ive been reading these posts and forums about MP and the Antec Case. Currently i have the iMON software installed and am able to get the screen on the case to display NEWS, Comp Info, etc... . So thats fine, and when i open MP (from KEYBOARD) i can navigate with my MC Remote. My issue is that i can not map the BACK button (to go to previous menu) or the Green Windows Button (to start MP). Can someone please help me out, thank you.

Hi,

Green Button:
- in iMon Manager go to Quicklaunch section and set the green button to start MP. But you cannot use it then to go to "Home" inside MP

Back Button:
- sometimes iMon Manager keeps sending "esc" command to Windows intead of the set value (MP uses "backspace", or the way around? I am not at home). To change this you have to manually edit your keymap.xml File of MP. Make a backup of it first! It is in your config file folder (you can open this folder from the MP configure window, left upper corner). Change the "esc" value everywehere to "backspace"

Thank you kszabo. I'll give it a try a bit later as i am on my way out. Also, i noticed that when i play a movie (media file) the info does not display on the Antec screen i just get the general info about my machine. I though it would at least be able to display the type of movie being played (divx or mkv etc...) and the time elapsed and time remaining. Have you got that to work?

kszabo, thanks again. Quick update, i did as you instructed and was able to launch MP from the MC button (green button) from the remote and when inside of MP i was able to navigate as normal and go to the previous menu with the BACK. Although im not sure modifying the xml ( i did though as per your instructions) was needed. I went into the IMON manager and modified the Windows Command section for the ESC key and mapped it to BACK on the MCE remote (see attached). It worked.

A couple of questions if i may:

1. i noticed that when i play a movie (media file) the info does not display on the Antec screen i just get the general info about my machine. I though it would at least be able to display the type of movie being played (divx or mkv etc...) and the time elapsed and time remaining

2. also, when a movie is playing i can not change the ASPECT RATIO via the remote. if i use a mouse i can right click, while the movie is playing, and the ACTIONS MENU comes up. is there anyway to map this to a button on the remote.

i think thats the same issue im having, i can get everything else to work (i.e. the remote buttons and functions, lcd display of General comp info and etc.. ) but i can not get the lcd to show me info about the media i am playing. I think thats what you were getting at. (see my post 2009.03.15 for more details), thank you.

I've got the silver Fusion, so different display - however :

IR works fine in both iMon (7.2 ) and MediaPortal (have a look for an .IMO file to import rather than configure from scratch). I'll upload the .IMO I use when I get home if needed.

I've got MiniDisplay working virtually as I want it, my only 'issues' are very small and generally skin or plugin specific
