[no Bug] Artist Information not updating (1 Viewer)

Hi,

According to elliotmc an updated Information scraper has been built into MP 1.6. Nonetheless my music database is not showing any new Input when playing Music and the window with the "Artist Information" stays empty.

The German error message Die Netzwerk-BIOS-Befehlsbegrenzung wurde erreicht means that net pipe limit has been reached. Note that my Music files are on a server in my local Network.

Definitely worth copying some files to your local hard drive, in order to rule out problems with your local network.

You need to be logged in to last.fm.

I saw this. There are two plugins though, Last.fm Radio and Last FM Scrobbler. The former cannot be configured and the latter is deactivated. Which one is needed and why would the first one not be configurable?

Well, I'd try activating the last.fm scrobbler.

OK, now logged into Last FM - free account though. The error messages are gone but still no updates visible. I've attached the MP log for your info.

How did you test you Music artist update ?
I think i never try it or it should do that in auto mode lol.
I would like to try and see if i have the same issue as you

Well, i would expect to see artist info changing wjen playing music. At least some uploads in the
log, yet nothing. What would be the correct behavior?

i too am having issues with missing artist information.I have enabled Last.fm scrobbler, still cant get artist information.Attached logs

I just tested that and at first i thought something was wrong, but it seems to take some time to fill the database.

Please test the following:
1. Enter Music section, select and artist and press F9
2. Select 'Show album/artist info'
3. If none visible, hit Refresh and make sure info is downloaded
4. Once the info is downloaded, wait 30 seconds, then start a song/album from the selected artist and go to PlayingNow
5. See if you get Artist/Album info now.



The MusicInfoHandler plugin was doing these scrapes in the background, but that plugin does need an update.
