I repeated steps 1-4 and screens were showing the same kind of data similar to your screenshots.
Step 5: no data!

That's what i had at first also.

It's probably easier to check the database with the SQLite Database Brower.
Open your Music dB, click 'Browse Data' tab, select table ARTISTINFO.
Now you see the info present in your database. Is the info present for the artist you just scraped it for?
If yes, then it should show up. If not, try another scrape, check the dB afterwards to see if it's filled.

I just tested the scraping myself, and my database gets filled nicely

Alright, I moved over to another client. Upon searching Artist or Album information I do now receive data into the database. However,

- Search has to be triggered manually
- Search Needs to be run separately for Artist and Album

I will have to verify if I can repeat this on the main HTPC (W currently watching TV).

All in all not very handy if I need to manually search for some 1000 different artists plus another 900 albums. Ideally this scraping would be part of the automatic database scan that detects new files and reads them in. I have not been following the Area 51 discussion in elliottmc's thread. Was this functionality part of his intentions?

The MusicInfoHandler plugin was doing these scrapes in the background, but that plugin does need an update.

I'm sure this plugin will get an update when the author has the time for it. That will automate the scraping again (just as it did for previous MP releases).
