[no Bug] Astra 28 missing channels when scanning (1 Viewer)

I cant seem to get the scan to pickup the stations for the epg.
My settings are on the attached image. Any ideas

Read a couple of steps back. At the moment this "channel" will not be picked up by a scan. You need to add the channel manually. (ie. through the channels screen not the scan screen)

I don't think it actually matters whether you add the channel to radio or TV

I found that it took a while for the EPG to update (over a day)

are you using the idle, timeshifting or both EPG grabbers?

Just the idle as its just a test rig atm. So i dont watch much tv on it

To populate the EPG quickly.

Create a radio group EPG.

Tune to it in MP for approx 10 mins, this populates the epg for approx 2 weeks, as long as you've got the time settings & check boxes marked correctly.

I can't get this to work. I go to radio channels and add a dvb-s channel using all the info provided by jameson_uk, map the channels to my tv card but I get nothing, When I test the channel I get a pop up saying that the channel is not mapped to a card? Any ideas.

After adding the channel you need to map it to your card(s) (Mapping - MediaPortal Wiki) or same screen for Radio.
