And if I want to chance a channel this window pops up:

From the screen shot it apprears you ahve a recording running. How many tuners do you have. That error means that there are no free tuners available.?

I have the NVIDIA dualtv card. There was no recording going on..

I think you should start a dedicated support thread for this - and include logs.

A general tip (will probably not solve anything): Uninstall ASUS splendid if installed. I've seen this do strange things ...

Hi Sprangleknas, I don't know what ASUS splendid is, so I guess I don't have installed it. I leave the problem for a while what is, because I can't find the time to spend again hours on my pc. I am at the moment in the middle of a emigrating process. At least I got my MCE working with some bIOS tweaks. For all the ATI 690G/x1250 users with the mce codec bug. I have made photo's of my working bios. If someone is interested, I shall place the pics somewhere on the internet.

Ok...probably been answered on this thread many times but its too huge to search...

Is there a fix for the hdmi to send a signal when changing tv input? Its such a pain to reboot the box if i want to watch my mediaportal!

If I understand what you are asking, the problem isn't with Mediaportal, but the equipment you have attached to it. I used to have my Media PC directly attached to my TV and all was fine. I could swap inputs at any time and it would display whatever input I wished.

I have since purchased an AV Receiver with HDMI inputs and now have my Media PC connected through this. If my PC now reboots (say for a Windows Update) and the PC isn't the current input at the time, when the PC starts, the video doesn't initialise correctly and won't display anything on the TV when I change inputs. This is because the HDMI connection has no signal at boot up, so the hardware doesn't initialise the display. I don't think there is an easy fix for this, so I just have to live with it.

Hi, yes it isnt a problem with mediaportal but with the graphics software...definitely not a problem with my tv because others have experienced it. When changing the source the hdmi seems to stop sending out a video signal so when going back to the hdmi source it cant find the computer

@ all: I see that Gigabye has released a new BIOS. Later BIOS updates have had various gfx improvments, so you might wanna check it out

I am using the F5 BIOS, but not using integrated graphics, so I can't tell ... If the FlipY is fixed, I'll get rid of the heat-producing-monster (8500GT).

Never had that problem, but I am using SpeedFan for this. I highly recommend it!

A bit tricky, but result is great.

I have attached my settings. All you need to do is DL and install the app., and copy attached files in the \SpeedFan - folder.
