I have attached the .xml files for the following skins:

    BlueTwo
    BlueTwo Wide
    Aqua
    PM3
    PureVision

The zips include all of the xml files from each skins directory. Just unzip and replace into each skins respective folder.

    Great!

    Missing skins now:
    • XFace
    • Monochrome
    • SpinSafe
    • Foofaraw
    • Electric Lead

G.B.Wolf: You might be right, but an "official"statement from the MP-team would be nice :) It would also be nice if a dev contacted ATi about this issue, as this would give the issue a higher priority according to ATi (ref. previous post in this thread)

    Hi all,

I can confirm that removing the FlipY parameter solves the problem for me also!

I am using a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H, not sure exactly what version of Catalyst I am running. (Does anybody know how to figure out the Catalyst version after installation? I see various numbers everywhere, but none correspond to Catalyst version numbers...)

I was having the freezing problem on almost every screen, after 10-60 seconds, with the default BlueTwo theme.

As a sidenote I can tell you that, on a default WinXP installation, using Windows Search to find the FlipY files will NOT work! Even though indexing is turned off by default, Windows will not search inside files that would not be indexed. And XML files are among those.

For the freaks who want to get Windows Search to function properly, here are the steps I took. (Note: using a 3rd party application is much easier.)
    1. Open the Search sidebar.
    2. Click "Change Preferences".
    3. Click "With Indexing Service". (No, we are not going to turn it on.)
    4. Click "Change Indexing Service settings". (Yes, while it is turned off... Barf Microsoft!)
    5. With none of the items in the "Indexing Service" window selected, go to Action > Properties.
    6. On the Generation tab, place a checkmark with "Index files with unknown extension". (Note: If you did have a Catalog selected in the window, this option would now be grayed out... How impossible can things get?)
    7. Click OK, close the Indexing Service window.
    8. Click OK for the Indexing Service settings.
    9. Only now Windows will actually search inside XML files!

Finaly made the move from 7.2.to 7.11. I got underscan (black frame) when setting 1080p @ 50Hz with 7.2.

BUT WITH 7.11 - 50 HZ @ 1080P IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SELECT!!! INCOMPETENT ATI!!!

For the %#@! love of %&!!!

Anyway - here is Xface for unlucky X1250 users:

Have you tried powerstrip to force that refresh?

I made the jump to 7.11 last night, after enjoying my fairly stable system for the last month (time to try to break it again? :) ). I must say that it is definitely worth it. I did have to retweak color settings, but the resulting picture quality is fantastic. Also, I had a random drop to desktop with MP after coming out of hibernation (right after a late night scheduled TV recording) and this seemed to fix it. I also had another freeze issue with my videos while also recording, which is now gone. Needless to say, I am a happy camper!

To start, dial in your HDMI (or whichever connection your HTPC is going to be connected to) with a "reference" standalone DVD player using either Avia or DVE.

    Avia
    http://www.amazon.com/Avia-II-Guide-Home-Theater/dp/B000X4NJNS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1197556004&sr=8-1

    Digital Video Essentials
    http://www.videoessentials.com/products_main.php

After you have the TV calibrated you can connect the HTPC to the calibrated input. Run (Avia or DVE) in a windowed instance of MP while you have CCC open. You should be able to get similar results using this method, as the control center has a good range of controls under the quality tab.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions.

That download link doesn't seem to work. I've tried a few other URL's but the file could not be found. :(
