    I cant believe this!

Tried latest Cat. (8.1). Now here is what I found so far:
    - No fix for FlipY (as expected)
    - No "Force 1080p50 (PAL) (sadly expected)
    - 720p 50 (PAL) REMOVED!
    - Mini-view does not work properly

Thank you very much for making it clear that I should get a nVidia next time, Ati :)

    Hi Spragleknas,

Just to confirm, do all the listed bugs you mention above also appear in VISTA?

Spragleknas, you are right. ATi is on my black list.

They sell a product with big ads (HDMI on board and Avivo capabilities etc), afterwards the customer must reckognize that he can not use the advertised features properly and even the basic features have big bugs:
    - if you buy a product with HDMI than you will probably try to watch HD material. HD-ready specs include 50 Hz and 60 Hz capabilities, 1080i and 720p capabilities. What is then with us, PAL users? No real 50 Hz support!
    - if you want to watch HD material, you have to get along with h.264. And there is no Avivo support for it!

I think ATi should have warned us: don´t expect acceptable HD-Performance, be ready to live with bugs!

Hello I'm having similar issue with My TV Series Plugin.

Time to time when switching between menu items of this plugin. Screen freezes ( but you can still hear switching menus sound at the background ) and you can do anything till ALT+F4 to close MP and restart again.

Do you thinks this is related to skin ( BlueTwo Wide without Flipy )+ 690G combination or plugin itself ?

    Thanks

I followed the instruction given in the plugin installation file. I've copied all the files to MP Directory accordingly which overwrites existing files. ( skin directory too )

Which XML files you're refering to ? If you think it would help. I'll be glad if you could modify and provide them.

    Thanks in advance

i remembered this thread but i have some questions

    1) any of the people that are no longer using the onboard graphics still get these issues?
    2) did vista actually remove your issues?

im running vista32 + 8500gt, all latest drivers, fully updated vista, and i still get these freezes, but nothing gets written in the MP logs

my motherboard is a Asus M2A-VM, and the issue seems to be the same, this started happening like a month ago when i updated an old MP installation

I still use the onboard x1250 now with Vista. MP GUI freeze issue completely resolved. I have nice flipY reflections of the skins. But other driver related are still there (like no overscan compensation with 50 Hz, no hardware acceleration for h.264).

I am also using the x1250 with Vista 32 Ultimate. MP freeze also solved, reflections work fine. I am running NTSC in North America so 50Hz is not an issue for me.

I can play 720p h.264 fine, although I don't know if I am using acceleration or just the CPU (I have an Athlon X2 4400+). I cannot get 1080p to play very well though, some skipping and audio is out of sync.

So, my question is, has anyone get 1080p content to play on the x1250?

1080P runs fine on my system with a X2 6000+
