That is odd, the lack of the explorer shell shouldn't matter for the file location at least I think
What might be an issue is that it can't locate the tray area but it should display a different error then, so it displays this error right?

"Missing needed programs, make sure you have copied the folder 'includes' from the downloaded archive"

/edit: might know the issue here, if you have enabled it to start as service or in your startup folder it needs to set the program startup folder correctly which should point to your AtmoWin folder root.
Will add the option to set the AtmoWin folder manually in a sec

and when i use windows explorer, i dont have notified this issue.
but i need to do more test. i will try the v7 this evening or tommorow.

Enabled some logging options to see what is going on in the background, most likely it is unable to find the path correctly.
This creates an debug.log file in its application directory which you can attach here

i have try your binary, and i don't see log file ...

Edit : i have unchecked the option " start atmowin on resume" and tryed to enable it ...

Might be that I forgot to enable the debug flag after rebuild, attached a new version
It only writes to the log on resume from sleep btw.
