Feature Request to Audio Renderer Changer

Hello,

I have a connection from my HTPC to my TV wich is using HDMI.
From time to time the HDMI-Audio device is muted after standby or after a restart. This has something to do with handshake and HDMI connections as I understood the articles that I read in the internet.

is it possible that your plugin sends a unmute to the HDMI device after standby/restart or when changing the renderer to this device?

sorry that isn't possible! I don't get access to the renderer I only build the graph with this renderer.
I had the same problem under my ATI-HDMI, but since I hav nVidia this issue with muted audio after standby is gone...

Hello,

i have the same problem as Thrax. I tested with AC3Filter, ffdshow and LAV decoder. I have connected HDMI for my TV and SPDIF for my Denon Amp. The OS is win7 32bit.

Is it possible to include a facility to send a command to the operating system? I would like to switch on my surround-sound amp when I select the appropriate renderer - it would save having it on all the time, when I' m not using surround sound. I can do it from the command-line, but I can't send the command from ARC.

Yes, try with Eventghost and MediaPortal plugin, not so easy to configure but very powerfull tool

I think this is not a Problem from the audio renderer Changer.
This is a Mediaportal Bug from the tsreader.ax .
Take the Version x45 or x50. I Thing this solve your Probelm.

But I have another question. I use Saf6. The DVD playback, but regulated by saf6 about ffdshow. It is not only the reg entry for export Lav. When switching between Spdif and analog audio I just get a sound output then when I was nine Install Saf. Question: what reg entries for saf6 I need to export all the settings of Saf6 be taken in order to use this with ARC Audio Changer.

Are you sure?
In my case the sound is sometimes also muted outside MePo after a standby. The windows mixer also shows that the sound is muted. Does a new tsreader.tx fix this?
