Audio Renderer Changer (1 Viewer)

I've set this up, with TV speakers (HDMI) and an amp (SPDIF).

For the TV part of MP, it works fine, everything is great.

For Video, it changes once (SPDIF -> HDMI), then refuses to change back. Instead, it briefly changes back (HDMI -> SPDIF), but then a second later it 'refreshes' and resets the audio stream back (SPDIF -> HDMI). The obvious result being I'm stuck with HDMI output.

When it does this 'refresh' it shows the OSD for the change (showing SPDIF), then again it shows the OSD for the refresh back a second later (showing HDMI). I am not really sure why this happens in the Video section, I had a quick look at the AAC decoder for TV and Video, but they're set to the same one. I have got the 'prefer AC3' to true for the SPDIF and false for the HDMI, but I tried it with both set to false and it still did the above. I've not tried a DVD yet.

I have not used reg keys, but it's something I will look at tomorrow. I wondered if anyone might know what the reason might be it does this for Videos but not the TV?

Just a small suggestion. If we could use custom labels to display when switching, this would be really great as then it could indicate the regkey/profile we're switching to (I'd use something like Stereo, Quad and 5.1 myself), rather than just the renderer (which in my case is not really relevant as I'm switching between two different instances of Directsound realtek analog out)

I'm wondering if it's possible to use one button for both functions (not at the same time)?

E.G. Blue button:
Condition Fullscreen, Next Bookmark
Condition Window Music Playing Now, Prev Bookmark

I am using this plugin since ages and I really appreciate your work. There's one feature missing, which I (and maybe lots of other people) would appreciate a lot:

- Using one button to rotate between audio devices
- Using specific buttons for each audio device

Hello,

i have the same problem as Thrax. I tested with AC3Filter, ffdshow and LAV decoder. I have connected HDMI for my TV and SPDIF for my Denon Amp. The OS is win7 32bit.

Why change only during play

Hi all
and a big thank to thor for this fabulous plugin.

One simple question,
why does the plugin only allow to change the device when a media is running ? Or did I oversee something ?

Thank you very much!

The plugin doesn't only work if a media is running! It changes the config sections in MePo-Configuration files automatically (if sections are checked in settings).

Yes, it does. But unfortunately there's no feedback to the user, so it's kind of guess work. Popping up an OSD would be nice, as would be having the direct keys for specific devices.
