ARC doesn't change the default renderer in OS. ARC only changes the renderer in MePo.
System wide changing is not possible under Windows Vista/7!

    @doveman:
I released now V0.8.6. Please don't forget to configure your switching mode in configuration (default is over key not over action!)

I've noticed when changing renderer, it doesn't seem to clear the previous one (at least not according to the render stats screen) and they accumulate in the graph, as shown in these screenshots (ignore the high render times, that's just because I was connected via VNC to take the screenshots).

The first one is when starting playback, when it uses "Default Directsound Device", the second is after changing to "Directsound: Speakers", the third back to "Default Directsound Device" and the fourth back to "Directsound: Speakers". Whilst it doesn't appear to be causing any problems, I can't imagine it's good to have the renderers accumulating in the graph like this.

I don't understand why this happens to your graph.

I tried to get the same behaviour on my development pc and on my htpc, but there the renderer is removed from graph. I already took your configuration of MePo, which you posted earlier in this thread.

For some reasons the actual renderer isn't found by ARC and so it is not removed.

    Could you please try if
    a) ARC removes the renderer if you don't use a regkey to switch codec behaviour
    b) ARC removes the renderer if you take LAV as decoder and not ffdshow.

    Maybe this is the error...

Do you have any logs to post here from ARC?

OK, I tried changing the decoder for everything to LAV and recreating the two ARC entries without any regkeys and it still does the same.

For the second set of logs, I changed ARC to switch between Default Directsound Device and Mediaportal Audio Renderer (instead of Directsound: Speakers) but it still doesn't clear the graph.

Yes that's right, Bluray support ist new in 1.3.0 alpha!
If you whant to use the plugin you have to use the previous version of the plugin, which you can download too...

Got the same problem as doveman but with V0.9.0 / MP 1.3.0 alpha.
I'm using ffdshow + mpar with different Regs (different outputs) and it just adds a mpar (named 000x) to the graph everytime I try to switch audio renderer with arc.
Also after first change no audio on any of the outputs (2xhdmi + analog output).
Stopping and resuming playback builds a correct graph with the output settings I switched to.
