Agreed. It would be great if plugin developers would align with the open source nature of this community.
If the developer won't directly share the code then people are forced to resort to disassembly/reversing.

In the latest version of MP i have issues with ARC.
1. In OnlineVideos changing of renderer affects stop video playing
2. If i play music with BASSengine and the file is situated on UNC path changing renderer has no effect

I hope that some of developers can resolve this if they get sources of the great plug-in

If you have MP 1.13 I can tell you that there is NO PROBLEM here with ARC.
So, it should work and all I can do is confirm with @mm1352000
