    hi,

just a small (and maybe dumb) question:
does audioscrobbler work with CDDA tracks? A more general version of the question would be: what type of files does it handle?

If it should work then am I the only one not to be able to use audioscrobbler with Audio CD tracks? Audioscrobbler doesn't seem to be verbose at all in the logs.
If it can't, I'm kindly asking if it could be implemented in a next revision ;)

A dummy question: in my last.fm page I get this error

"Some tracks you submitted have not been added to your profile for the following reason:
    Incorrect time format. "

I looked in the last.fm faq but no explanation is given. Anyone has clues?

    F.

This is interesting since my url.encoded time string looks like this:
    2006-08-16+21%3a17%3a04

Is this just happening for you or did another users realize this, too? - Italy isn't that special on culture formats...
Could you please see if your trackcache-<user>.xml contains songs? If so it would be nice to see it, too.

Todays 09:4x svn build should contain a fix for this ;-)
I'm building the time myself now - therefore it is completely independend of the local system and its time settings.

    Trackcache-rossanobrazzi.xml is empty, it's just

    |open bracket| ?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" standalone="yes"? |close bracket|
    |open bracket| AudioscrobblerQueue / |close bracket|

    Thanx for the answer!

    F.

p.s. forgot to say, but the playlist-population function worked nice

p.p.s. [UPDATE] Installed last svn and, as you can see in the tag, it works! Thanks!

All files in your music database
I only have original CDs which do not have CD text therefore I could only add a log message telling you why a track is not scrobbled.

Feel free to send me a CD that does contain CD-Text and I'll see what I can do

"Guessed" tags (e.g. via internet lookup) should not be used according to the official audioscrobbler protocol definition

    argh!
I'm so disappointed. My music collection is (almost) only based on Audio CDs.

    official audioscrobbler protocol definition said:
Do not try to guess info from the filename - if there are no tags, don't submit the file.
Could not it be interpreted as: do not try to guess by file names, other means are fine.
AFAIK FreeDB/CDDB identification process involves creating a kind of "fingerprint" of a CD created by performing calculations on the track duration information stored in the TOC of the CD. Maybe this could be considered safe enough, I don't know (anyway most MP3 come from ripped CDs where tags are collected from CDDB ;)).

Just another question, does the official plugin also forbid to gather statistics from Audio CDs? I've never used this one.

    thanks
