Hi there,

hmmm... what about if there was a switch in the setup->music section? scrobbling on/off?

I also think it would be nice if Michael Crichton and Chris Rock are not messing up my charts. ;-)

I keep my Audiofiles grouped by directories, so it looks like this:

Albums
Audiobooks
Comedy
etc...
and I include these as music shares for my music.

Maybe it's possible to list MPs music-shares in the scrobbler-plugin configuration with a "Scrobble?" checkbox, so you could exclude folders containing Audiobooks and stuff or "embarassing" material. ;-)

BR,
I.

In the configuration page, could u make a user manager. Now it's impossible to see how many users are connected and users can not be removed. Something like add/remove user and a user list would be nice.

This is in currenty svn now and will of course be backported for 0.2.0.5 ;)

    For the "embarassing" material :D
Would it be enough for you to have a line, were you can add multiple directories (or only parts of it) which should be ignored?

The shares idea is nice but it wouldn't be elegant as it is implemented right now - furthermore for every track there would be the need to query the database twice to check if the path is allowed..

i don't think it needs to be anywhere near that complicated! just a toggle button in the setup section for scrobbling on/off (or even better - a context menu item in the music section to turn scrobbling on/off). then it's up to the user to do it manually - switch it on or off totally at their whim! :p
basically, i'm just wanting a gui option to match the 'submit tracks...' option in the plugin config

I scanned through this entire thread and didn't see this listed anywhere, and am not really sure what's causing it for me. I thought at first that last.fm just wasn't updating very quickly but after checking the log I see that it is something wrong with my MP setup. My songs are not showing on my last.fm profile but it is suggesting songs just fine for me. Here's the log:

Any idea what my problem is? Could it be that I don't run the SVN versions, just the base install with the stable updates applied?

jburnette: My setup did that for one of the SVNs. It was fixed though.

rtv: When scrobbling, if the music database is not up-to-date and a song gets added that is no longer there, the playlist stops. Should it fail over to the next song if there is an error? Maybe it does now, I rescanned my music at the last update so didn't get to test.

I also just wanted to thank you again; this is the best thing since sliced bread.

    u=ciph&a[0]=Paul+Wall ...

The "&s=<yoursecret>" part is missing - this is a hash generated from the password. Could you please check you password is stored correct?

a song gets added that is no longer there, the playlist stops.
Well the music code currently doesn't seem to have methods avoiding this - but you're right - it shouldn't stop (somehow I remember the auto-go-on from winamp years ago) I'll see what I can do about this ;-)

Regarding SVN changelogs, I must say that you're hyper-responsive to user desiderata! Do you sleep at night?
