@MrTechno hope you can help me.
While WebMP in iis works in general, it does not work as a subdomain for my main website that uses forms authentication.

I don't have remote access to my IIS server from here but I think it's just a case of following http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_..._Access/MPExtended/WebMediaPortal/IIS_Edition and making sure the authentication for WebMP is enabled for basic and disabled for everything else
Basis authentication would mean i have to login twice:
One time for "https://mywebpage.de" (forms authentication)
Second time after clicking a link on my main page "https://mywebpage.de/webmediaportal" (basic authentication)

I'm pretty sure my problem is because WebMP is an app in iis-server and not a virtual directory as my other websites :(

Hi
Peter here .. .a new convert :)

Just to back up very slightly....

Installed the Webmedia portal on IIS. And works very well. Great stuff. Very Impressed.

Really newb query.

Using the IIS manager .. I double click on the authentication button for the web site.....
I have anonymous enabled
ASP.NET impersonation disabled
Forms Authentication enabled .. and it points to the login screen.

IF I disable Form Auth. Then I get a blank page :(

I too want to be able to disable authentication, so the teachers can access the web site without
remembering yet another password... They are at their limit already :p

Actually .. it would be nice to have a user area for viewing and recording .. and a password protected area so they
cannot change the settings.

Sorry for such a trivial query in what is a more advanced thread.

And very off thread.... how many concurrent connections to the live streaming do you think the system can handle ?
With 3 .. the CPU load was 1%... Very promising..

TIA
Peter

Many tx. appreciated

BTW ... this newb has done some more reading ...

It is the web media portal that I am trying to make accessible. Not just the mpEextended.

Apologies if that was not how it came out in my posts .:(

At the moment I am in the bowels of proxy pass in apache to try and make it accessible to people outside the school ......... read your https thread ...

Simpler that....

It is all internal. In a school. Is all on one server. Want to give the users access to the TV server via the web page, so I do not have to install the client.

Would be nice if they could watch live and schedule programs and watch recorded programs WITHOUT having to log into the portal.

Actually ... perhaps just password protect the Settings option...

I am using the BlueShift Theme.

TIA
Peter
