    @BertTRP:

    You want to keep 3D on after you watch a 3D movie, e.g. watch another 3D movie without switching back to 2D in between.

    Maybe a flag "Only switch mode if necessary" is what you need.

    The flag means:

    If you start a 3D movie, the system is switched into 3D-mode, if the movie stops the system remains into 3D mode. If you then start another 3D movie the system is already in 3D-mode. Only if you start a 2D movie (or TV), the system will switch back to 2D mode.

    Would that help you?

    What i would need is more something that completely disables auto switching. My beamer is not supported by the plugin, and i have to set it manually to either sbs or du. Whenever the gui switches back to 2d, i need to manually switch the beamer again as well, wich is pretty annoying. so, even if i am aware it means a loss of quality, i'd prefere to continuously keep everything in 3D. No automated switching at all.

    At least untill it might be possible to implement switching via hdmi.

    I hope it's clearer now.

    Thank you again for your availability to listen to all the requests and your reactiveness. Very appreciated!

    Thank you for the hint. I will check this as soon as I have finished the LG Support for Auto3D.
    My goal is to get my MediaPortal changes into the 1.5. Would make life easier for me, because I already had to merge my stuff 3 times (1.3, 1.4, current master) and the MediaPortal changes are already stable enough.

    Do you have the goal to make your plugin become an permanent part of MP?
    This would be very nice. It would make also the life of the users easier.

    Of course the developers will make the decision but you have my support for sure, even if my opinion does not matter. ;)

    In my opinion Venturi's work is the 1st step to make MP1 3D aware. 2nd step is to replace the rendering parts with D3D 11.1 based renderer (in addition to have 3D aware video decoder, source filter and libbluray support :)).
