Hi, I'm trying to find any information how to control the Samsung H-Series or the new Tizen based TVs from a PC for months now.

Well I found nothing.

They have a WebAPI that seems to ONLY run on Samsung smart phones and Samsung Smart TVs.

They provide no Information about the underlying protocol!

It looks like they only want to support webkit based devices:

A lot of people have tried to reverse engineer the protocol, but all hints I found were leading into a dead end road, because Samsung now uses encrypted sockets.

This one wrote a 3D enabler for Samsung and KODI. Runs on all Samsung TVs, but not H-Series nor Tizen:

It works with all Samsung TVs and - guess what - not with H-Series and Tizen based TVs

I'm still hoping that anyone finds out more about the protocol, but for the moment I have to wait.

Looks like Samsung wants to become the new NVIDIA.

I notice error in MP.log about missing method (like here : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-11-gui-tv-beamer.116708/page-77#post-1127370) and i see that it's because i didn't have above branch, i don't know if official AUTO3D plugins need this above branch but it seems to be the case lol.

that was intended for 1.12 (if possible). I have just updated the this branch with a small change that I had forgotten. Could you merged that.

Could you change VS setting to avoid tab (space) and use 2 instead of 4 (default MP VS setting) Thanks
we can see that is not correct (i'm not talking about the code but only about space)

There is a visual studio plugin that should be able to do that for you. It's called editor config I believe.

Samsung has introduced j series as well. I wonder if they will have same issue.

The JavaScript interface seems to be only avaiable on Samsung TVs before H-Series/Tizen. I'm googling from time to time on this topic, but I've found no solution yet. A lot of frustrated people out there but Samsung doesn't care at all.
