After a couple of hours testing I think I found a problem. Never seen this before, but I'm not sure it is related to the Automatic Refreshrate Changer.

But sometimes the graph will not deconstruct when switching directly between two videos without letting the first video end (or pressing stop).

This can be verified by multiple Haali Media Splitter icons instances in the taskbar.
This will also cause ReClock to not detect input stream on new media.

Anyway to ensure that the graph is properly deconstructed (killed) when switching videofiles without stop in between?

I have a trivial issue. In the first post your screen shot shows '50' in the default refresh rate, but I don't think the code is really reading that value as you believe. If I set mine to 60 it actually uses 50, but if I change it to 'ntsc_hz' like the configuration used to be (before the form in config) then all works well. That's not great for those that never see the XML as they'll not know what to put there.

Could it maybe get turned into a drop down list of the nice labels? (ie Cinema, Pal etc)

Apart from that, I just got it working with Powerstrip in Win7. I would recommend people don't try the built in refresh changer as it gave me my first Windows blue screen in years!

I think you just identified a booboo of mine  Sorry!
I will create a new screenshot and post it. The WIKI will contain the correct image. Gibman has to update the firstpost in order to correct it. But I will provide the image.
    Thanks Kenwonders!

@ Gibman: I changed the post I created. Here is the link to that post.

I also updated the WIKI a little bit with the correct image and adjusted the text a little.

According to Google -> "The system can not find the file specified". So, make sure that you are providing correct file name.

I would recommend people don't try the built in refresh changer as it gave me my first Windows blue screen in years!

Are you sure that those bluescreens are coming from the RRC?
Very curious because i'm experiencing random bluescreen (once in a few days) and get an instant reboot so i can't collect MP logs :(
And it might have started when i upgraded to 1.0.1 and started using the RRC.

BSOD is for 99.99% of the time caused by either

    1) buggy drivers
    2) faulty hardware

Applications itself cannot cause BSOD, all they can do is to expose those two possible faults. So, the recommendation to not to use RRC is just plain wrong.

    My problem

Hi, i´m spanish and sorry but my english is not good

I´ve got installed official Windows 7 RC1, and now the "Dynamic Refresh rate" dont work, previusly with Windows Vista SP2, i never got a problem.

I´ve got a nvidia 8800gt card with the last update drivers 185.85 for windows 7.

    When I try :
    C:\Users\Tomi>c:\\windows\\system32\\rundll32.exe NvCpl.dll,dtcfg setmode 1 1920
    1080 32 24

    C:\Users\Tomi>
Error: API not supported on this version of Windows.

If I try with the RefreshRateChanger_0.61(21195).rar, mediaportal crash.

When I play a movie and media portal try to change the refresh rate, the screen still a few seconds but not change the refresh, and then, when i change the refresh rate 'manually' with the windows screens options the refresh rate is assigned correctly in 24hz or 50hz, but only in the context menu, i have to change it to any other refresh an back to set the correct refresh to take effect.

Is windows 7 not compatible with dynamic refres rate or nvidia drivers? ... or mediaportal not compatible with my configuration.

    Thanks all.
