Not sure I have quite figured this out but I have an issue when using the refresh rate changer on XP. I have some TV series with DD soundtracks in and without the refresh rate changed being enabled I can switch between then at will and everything is fine.

If refresh rate changer is enabled and I start a video which has a different refresh rate to normal (ie. start a 24fps video when in 50Hz mode or a 50fps video in 24Hz mode) which has a DD soundtrack then my amp does not recognise the DD and tries to output it as LPCM (ie lots of noise). If I then use the cursor to skip forward or back 15 seconds then it sorts itself out.

This only happens with refresh rate changed enabled but does work about 1 out of 10 times.

Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do to solve it???

Aha, that explains it :) And I sure have been waiting for that SVN release! I thought it was going to be available last friday, but maybe this friday then?
Public SVN will not be available before a nasty bug has been fixed, so no ETA :sorry:.

New SVN is there. Should be solved.
Can people share their experiences in here as well? is it solved?

It doesn't work for me after I installed the latest nvidia-drivers. Using Windows Vista.
I will try earlier versions of the driver tonight and see if that's the problem.

I thought the fix was only for windows 7 since windows 7 had a different API. And this was suppose to fix the ARC when using windows API to change the refresh rate.

Yes I know. Sorry that I was vague in my post. However this thread is for all kind of troubles with refresh-changer i think.
Just thought it could be good to know that something must have changed in the latest nvidia drivers (ver. 191.07) that might break the functionality. At least it did for me.
When I rolled back to the prevoius WHQL-driver (ver. 190.62) it worked again.
Has anyone else tried the latest nvidia-drivers?

anyone also have this problem ?
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...creen-set-24-hz-39188/index26.html#post516245

i also have it randomly when starting a movie or forwarding in a movie (only in 24p)
the movie then looks in slowmotion.

I changed from using batch files to the windows 7 api and this seems to have lowered the nr of occasions when it happens but it is not gone yet.
Someone mentioned that when mp is not in focis it lowers framerate ? sometimes (not always just using alt tab emoves he stutter)

    Hi onyx,
Do you use the inbuild mediaplayer or do you use an external player. If it is the normal inbuild one, the not-in-focus issue should not apply.
It might also be codec related. What codecs do you use?

I have the same problem (I think), only I wouldn't describe it as the video playing in slow motion. Rather it is like an extreme stutter. I haven't considered that it might be connected to the refresh rate changer, but maybe it is. I use latest SAF beta for codecs, together with latest SVN and the fixed core.dll for the "haali not disposed.." problem.
