I am not 100% sure the stuttering was caused by not having these frequencies or not but it did improve it dramatically. The final improvement which removed all stuttering was to go back to using VM9 in exclusive mode.

pdiaz: That's strange, I have always heard that EVR is supposed to produce the best image flow. What OS do you use and what graphics card?

I really find your tip about the ATI refresh rates interesting though! I will have to try it out when I return after the holidays.

i used the refresh rate tip but it doesnt influence the stuttering.

i will try the vmr9 setting again, i tried it already once but i was under the impression it was more cpu consuming (not a really smooth picture)

yep, u can create all the profiles u want to.

    23.976
    24

    etc.

    /gibman

I noticed that there was some moves to allow more than the default number of profiles...is this enabled in the latest stable release 1.0.2?

Thank you for this excellent feature. :D

    Hi gibman,

Do you do that via editing the xml file or via the gui? I have tried both but haven't had much luck

    Also, my setup is:

    Windows 7 x64 Professional
    Intel Core2 Duo 3.2GHz
    ATI HD4870 (Latest CCC)
    4Gb Ram

    Outputting to:

    ASUS 22" LCD (primary)
Sony Bravia 46WE5 (secondary) and MP display

    Cheers

    Hi everyone.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed (I tried to look through the 91+ pages) :O

I am running the latest SVN on W7x64 (with ATI 9.8) - the new SVN seems to recognise the correct FPSchanges - I have the "notify" option enabled and I can see it pop up.

    But....

It does not seem to run the ATI CLI program??? :(

I have the standard 4 options set (HDTV, NTSC, TV, CINEMA) - Everything is default, the following is set as the "Action" for HDTV:

    C:\\Program Files (x86)\\ATI Technologies\\ATI.ACE\\Core-Static\\CLI.exe start Load profilename="HDTV"

If I run the command above (but changing the \\ to a single \) then it works fine.

    I have:

    Enable DRRC ticked
    Use device reset unticked
    Notify ticked
    Force refresh rate ticked

    Please help!

    Thanks,

    J.

u do it by clicking on the ADD button.
Then scroll to the bottom of the list.
    Give it a friendly name.
type in the wanted frame rate(s). semi colon seperated if more than one.
    enter the desired refreshrate.
and finally enter an action command, only if u will use some external commando/job.

ex. if u wish to add a new profile with 23.976 as FPS, then remember to remove the 23.976 FPS from the CINEMA profile.
Otherwise I think it will fall into this category.

Bug in Automatic Refreshrate Changer ?

I have a Problem with the actual beta 1.1 .
I have enable the MP Freq changer and if i watch 1080p Videos then will MP change the frequenc and show me a black Screen.
after this dont start the Video.

Always if MP is changing the freq i get this result. After this i must MP kill and restart.

    EDIT: i use Version 1.0.4.24553

    Hi again,

I thought I'd give it a try without specifying an external program (ie without using ATI profiles/Let MP change the frequency) - and this works :D

Many thanks to everyone who has worked on this :)
