Aha, I see. Have you checked with another program (Reclock for example) to see that you really get the "faulty" refresh rates? When I switch to 23Hz in CCC, after the change it goes to 24Hz instead. However, when I check the actual refresh rate in Reclock I really have 23.976Hz.

no i did not check, and i think the 23 hz indeed should go to 24 hz, however in 24hz movies (when ccc goes to 25 hz) i have stuttering

Hi all,

Can anyone else confirm if they have the following issue??

Default is set to TV (50Hz). I play a 2 part movie (mkv) using Moving Pictures (two parts are assigned as one movie). The movie starts and the screen changes to 24Hz (brilliant)

But when Moving Pictures/MP automatically starts the second mkv, the screen blips and reverts back to the default setting (TV 50Hz). It then stays on 50Hz and doesn't switch back to 24Hz

I have only tried this on the lastest SVN.

If I play the mkvs individually (I split the association from within Moving Pcitures so they appear as two movies), each part is correctly detected at 24Hz (cinema mode).

This is on a W7x64, with ATI 9.8, SAF, latest MP SVN, latest Moving Pictures.

Hi J,

I cannot test this issue, I dont have split movies.
But it sounds to me this issue is caused by the STOP command after the first part, and the immidiate start of the second part.
The first stop will cause MP to revert back to default refreshrates.

I think this is an issue from moving pictures icw with the refreshrate changer. But it can be solved in moving pictures forum I bet.
best is to mention it there.

Well,
i have the newest SVN with actual MediaPortal running on an ATI 3200 HD Graphics onboard.

Watch TV (50hz) -> Watch a Series (60hz) -> Refresh Rate changed the Herz to 60 -> Black Screen...

Dont know why, tried every "Force Reset", "Do Device Reset"... nothing works!
Any Idea?

29,97 ntsc is detected as 24hz

Please test with that (as MP uses the DLL from that project).

when i open the dvd folder with mediainfo it says first video file = 29.976 HZ
when i play in mediaportal it says 23.976 but it uses vts_01_01.vob

I guess there is no real logic in MP to pick the main movie when it feeds the vob for mediainfo.

i just wanted to bump the issue brought up by onyx666. i tried updating the mediainfo.dll to the latest but it didn't help. i don't know much about the way it works so i'm not much help. but it is a big deal, i find this plugin to be essential, truly amazing, and it would be so sad to see it ineffective with most my dvd backups. is there a google code page to maybe bring this up to the dev? thanks everyone, take care.
