Having been "off the scene" for a little while it seems like I have a bit of catching up to do...rather than having to read through loads of posts and Beta news threads can someone briefly explain the skin incompatibility issues between 1.3.0 Alpha and Beta and whether I can assume that all community mods from here on in refer to the Beta release. From what I've read so far am I right in assuming that only the default skin and Titan work with the Beta release?

@sweborn...probably a bit late in the day...but I have some free time on my hands so if you need to offload some of what you're working on to speed up the process let me know what you need doing.

This version works, apart from the settings stuff @sweborn is working on

OK...thanks for the "heads up"...what is the compatibility problem between versions, do you know? I want to finish the xml's for World Weather and rework HTPCInfo but not much point until I'm up to speed.

Now I am confused! lol

I don't want to upgrade to the Beta version (other than on a virtual machine) until I know what compatibility issues there are...I had a quick read of the Wiki News on the Beta release and it points to another link with loads of lists of updates/changes that'll take time to sift through.

Is there a problem with the "references.xml" and "settings.xml" between versions?

I'm tryin out an own approach to adding scheduled recordings, it's going really slow though
Just doing these little steps took me 3h.

Maybe someone else likes it and can help me complete it with all 3 schedules and actives, I was thinking of adding those green and red dots. With schedules fontcolor as pale blue and actives with light blue to match the colors of already done recordings.

Then I was thinking about placing the recorded thumb where the tv fanart is now. But all this is too mush for me and would take me weeks

You are best looking to the bugtracker for that info - http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/ - it will show you the current status of MP with the info you would like. Click the roadmap link and you'll see the issues that have been fixed, this should tell you what the problems were...

I have the beta running myself and don't seem to have many problems if it helps

As far as I know on bigger changes to Skins are:
1. TV Guide coloring
2. TV OSD shows comskip markers
3. Settings in MP
4. Change my Videos
5. Migrate Toggle Button to Checkbutton

As for status: 1 should be finished, 2 is unknown to me, 3 @sweburn is working on, 4. unknown, 5. seems partly done, but not well.

Anything else? I now have a full working 1.3b with avallonis, included powerscheduler++ (from Area51) and all my favourite plugins. If you update WorldWeather: Please - I am not happy with the current implementation as well, that would be great!

I downloaded the 11 rar files. I am not new to skins, but without a skin editor I am at a loss. Wish I had kept my original MP1.2.3 based Avallonis files (for guidance).

• Any quick tips on how to change to white (instead of blue)?
• Secondly, wouldn't it make sense to ship with some common modules already setup (instead of #homeitem, #topitem1, #topitem2, etc.)

Perhaps I missed a step somewhere.
