    Hi Bleazle,

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure how I can implement this and still keep to the skin concept. Info is always hidden in the skin to allow for as much fanart as possible. Do you have any suggestions?

    cheers

    Hi,

    Thanks ;)

Please try the attached files and see if MusicVids works as it should. xml file should be in the backdrop skin directory. Extract the dll file (updated menu editor) to the plugins\process directory and replace the existing file.

    best regards

    Hi cul8er,

:D for the great skin , finally made the switch to 1.2 Beta and was excited to finally try your skin ! . I'm not sure if it was mentioned before but is there any possibility to maybe set the time it takes for the skin to display the details of an episode in tv-series , it just feels a bit too long for me :) , no biggie , but sometimes its nice to quickly see episode info while scrolling through episodes of an series , same can go for movies I guess , Keep up the good work !

    Regards
    Pieter

    Hi
There are two Options to set. One for the BasicHome and the second for all other screens.

:D , that did the trick , would be nice to have a third level of timing , but I cant see how that will work in any other place than the episode listings

    Hello.
I have tried to implement Moving Pictures Categories to my BasicHome. It's really simple if you know how...
First generate as much "Moving Pictures" Menu items as you like. Just give them clear labels like "All Movies" or "Unseen Movies" as you have to find them later in xml with Notepad.
Then generate a new Basic Home. Open the newly created BasicHome.xml in Notepad or any other text editor of your choice. Search for your Moving Pictures menu entries... Then find a line
    Code:
      <hyperlink>96742</hyperlink>
just under this line add another line similar to:
    Code:
    <hyperlinkParameter>categoryid:xxx</hyperlinkParameter>
were xxx is the category ID...
The Id you can find inside the movingpictures.db3. Browse the database with SQliteBrowser and find the IDs in the "node" table. If you want to have a "normal" Moving Pictures entry just don't add the "hyperlinkParameter" line to this menu item....

This should work with all skins that have customizable Basic Home Menus, I think...

I've attached my new BasicHome.xml as an code- example and two screenshots. First shows the Music Menu with a extra "Concert Movie" Item linked to all Concert Movies I have inside Moving Pictures. Second one is the "Moving Pictures" Menu with all important categories and at top a "normal" link to Moving Pictures Main Menu...

    Hi,

Attached is a new Backdrop menu editor. This supports MovingPicture categories (startup paramaters). It reads the categories from MovingPictures. Extract the dll file and replace the existing file in the /plugins/process directory.

Attached is also a screenshot of this new function. This new functionality will allow you to create basichome menus like in Lehmden's post above (but without the xml hack ;) ).

Thanks to Lehmden for the suggestion.

    best regards
