Thanks, how do I disable the plugins? When I go to MP Config and click plugins it crashes...
I think what i will do is a total uninstall. When i reinstall can i just restore the TV Channels and how i get EPG ( I Use zap2it and xmltv)?

ap90033, no -wait. You can go to C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins
Check the process and Windows folder for suspicuous plugins and just move the .dll files to a backup folder e.g. old.
zap2it i do not know if it is working, but xmltv should work for 1.1.3.

shoot saw this to late, i wiped and reloaded, it was good practice anyway

I use zap2itxml.exe to get the guide downloaded as an xml file and then use xmltv to put it into MP's TV Guide. (I think that is the best way to do it, I am a USA user)

Media Portal 1.2beta

BackupSettings 1.2.0.0 and later is supporting MediaPortal 1.2, but you must reinstall the plugin from the installer. Otherwise it will show up in the incompatible list of plugins.

If you upgrade to 1.2 none of your backed up plugins or skins will work. You must reinstall them once the developer has provided a plugin/skin version for MP1.2.

if I try to install the plugin in 1.2 beta, I get the Error message: "License.txt not found - Installation aborted"

Are there some other requirements?

had the same problem, but recognized that the installer generated a kind of temp folder in the same directory. Within this folder are the install files, which didn't made this problem.

Problem in MP 1.2 config plugin window after using BackupSettings

Hi all,

I have just migrated to mP 1.2. Everything went Ok with the installation. However, when I used BackupSettings to import my MP 1.1 settings, I get the attached pic message. More specifily, this error happens when I try to access to the plugin section of MP configuration.
Then, MP config closes automatically...

I installed the latest version of Backup settings plugin.
I can confirm I could access to the plugin section of MP configuration prior to the BackupSettings import.

Is this a known problem?
Is there any solution?

Hello.
BackupSettings is not the Solution for a mayor Upgrade as it is from 1.1 to 1.2 With Backup Settings you've imported old 1.1 compatible Plugins and settings. This causes lots of errors. Backup Settings is the solution if you want/need to reinstall the same version of MePo, eg after a System crash or so...

To migrate from 1.1 to 1.2 it's much better to reinstall MePo and all Plugins. You can save and restore your Plugins Databases and Thumbs manually. Same with TV- Channel and Schedules settings. So the main configuration will be done in some Minutes...

i see, my main worry was loosing the TV stuff, but you are saying that that part can be done individually? Good stuff

Also, you mention that BackupSettings imports the old plugins. I thought BackupSettings was only importing the settings, and not the plugins as such?
