Hi.
If you do a reinstall of the same version of MePo you only need to install Mepo itself and BackupSettings. Then do a restore and all Plugins, Settings, Skins are back as they were before. This is really great in terms of loosing the HDD or have an infection by a virus or clone a MePo Installation to another Machine... But if you do an Upgrade this is not that wise.

In TV Server Config there is an Menu Item Export/Import. There you can backup and restore all Channels, Groups, Schedules,... Sometimes you need to remap the channels to the Tuners after. It's not easy to say, why this sometimes work and sometimes didn't.. And, if you use DVB-S2 you need to mark the tuners as S2 capable. If not you don't have any HD Channels available for mapping...

When upgrading from 1.1. to 1.2 you should uncheck the following checkboxes for the import:
Tvserver Filter -> "TvServerProgram Folder" This will avoid copying old Tvserver plugins, which are incompatible to 1.2
MediaPortal Filter -> "Plugins" as well as "Skins and languages" This will avoid copying incompatible MediaPortal Plugins and Skins

thx vor the testversion, but i can't install it. "requires mediaportal version 1.1.6.27644 to 1.1.6.27644"
i use 1.2 beta. can it be the problem?
