    hi,

I use ffdshow Audio for sound side. I don't know exactly the diff between PDVD10 and PNP.
I think Kung-Fu panda BD codec video is H264 right ?
    And horton is VC-1 ?

Very strange, i don't know if you go on WIN7 you will see a diff. but maybe something wrong with DXVA outside PDVD soft.
Horton is a BD Seamless ? you can see it by open Bluray with BDINFO (maybe you need Slysoft ANYDVD) and 3:14 minutes it's maybe the first part of playlist.

    Seb.

I think the problem is VC-1, i checked a few of my movies that i know has problems (Bourne triology, The number 23, The Cronicles of riddick, Greenberg, Where Eagles Dare, etc) and those movies using VC-1..

AW: Re: BDHandler Stuttering : Codec/Splitter Problem

    EDIT:

by using SAF5 - it cannot play all my MKV movies ...
most of them wont play ---- MePo error --->AVC / MS-DTS problem (however i prefer SAF4)
AND very often non-syncron Audio Video (also @ live-TV)

You added FFDshow to MePo postprocessing, and this MKV have multiple audio strems inside, right?
    If yes.

no - @ the moment i left the postprocessing empty
i tried differnt things - thanks for the link and the hint -
    didn't brought the target

well that could be - or the structur of this BR is "strange" and not all "handlers could handle it.
powerdDVD can - and the BRHandler here even not ... (it is beta - so that also could be)

i am still trying to get that BR running :)
    (don't give up that fast ;) ...)

AW: BDHandler Stuttering : Codec/Splitter Problem

it is not an MKV problem

i have the problem with an original BluRay called "Horton hears a who"

the hole/only movie is 2 files in the disk

one got size of 760 Mb (00210.m2ts) (runtime: 0:02:22 hours)
the following file is about 24 000 MB (00211.m2ts) (runtime: 1:23:48 hours)
alltogether - movie lenght is about 1:26:10 ....

when i play the BluRay out of MediaPortal with BRhandler
it stops always @ 0:05:35 (that is the small file-lenght plus 3:14 from the big file)

    that is my problem ....
i also did a file transfer (both stream-files) to HDD.
    same problem ...

only when i use your old/or older SAF4Beta14 (including older MPC v.1287)
it run smooth over that 5:35 point away. (file on HDD)
but with that old MPC - there is no index.bdmv playable like armand say in his first post... :(
MPC requiered newer than MPC svn 1287 ...

hope now it is clear what the problem is ...
(sorry for my bad explaining-english )

aha now :) BIG sorry my fault - i am so deep in that BluRay problem

yes i have some SAF5 problems with lots of MKV -
(but i think that is an config-problem)
give me minute i'l install ur latest SAF5 and try again a MKV

    EDIT:

that error message came when i start MKV with SAF5

    i use
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...xperimental-based-ffdshow-dxva-decoder-77591/
configuratin like u posted in your SAF5 thread

    EDIT II:

i tried MKVmerge - to cut a short part of avatar for you
MKVmerge could not open the file :-(
maybe couse i added the three .m2ts files together with a
    copy&rename job out of a dosbox ?
    for example
    (copy /b 0001.m2ts+0002.m2ts+0002.m2ts C:/filme/avatar/avatar.mkv)

    EDIT III:

when i use the matroska splitter from sebastiii (thread blurayhandler)
it works ... (the MKV files example Avatar)

i ripped Clash of the titans the other day from a bluray and the video is encoded in VC1..and the video codec used is WMVideo Decoder DMO ..sometimes it sutters and sometimes it plays fine...

pretty much all my blurays till this point have been in h.264 and play perfectly with CoreAVC 2.0...

the rip im using with MP has been decrypted(so no more need for anydvd hd at this time for this file)...also its been joined together to a single .m2ts file which ive renamed .MKV

there is 1 audio track in it (DTS-HD MA) which i use ffdshow to take the core and passthru via spdif (as DTS is all my amp can do)

there is a few subtitle trakcs (in PGS format) which i dont care about but they r there

im reading up about an app called AutoMKV which can reencode VC1 -> h264.....if this is true i will just reencode for the sake of CoreAVC playing it smoothly

let ya'll know how it goes tomorrow

You cannot just rename m2ts to MKV, this is two completelly different containers which using different splitters.
MKV merge doesnot support Transparent Strem container (TS, M2TS, etc...)
Use TSMuxer to splitt (or join) m2ts files.

You cannot mux multiple m2ts files in to one mkv using tsmuxer, TSMuxer will output in to TS or M2TS.

There is no reason to remux M2TS in to MKV

But if want to do it and you are using SAF4, there is DS mux utility - this one will alow you to mux M2TS in to MKV.

SAF 4 is using haali splitter and if i am not wrong, haali have some issues with HD audio formats and VC-1 in general.

    Using SAF5 is recomended.
