ok i got clash of the titans VC-1 to run stutterfree today ..i dunno how it did it ..perhaps my PC wanted to be good to me today or the quadcore had the grunt and background processes were interfering earlier....but it runs ok for me now

it still uses the WMVideo DMO decoder for video (with Haali splitter) which as far as i can tell is the only way to run this VC-1 video file in MP

heres hoping the companies producing blu rays in VC-1 get shot and only H264 blurays come out from now on to save us all the hassle...lol(sry)

also i had to change the audio codec to ffdshow from MPC-MPA ...as it would always stutter with MPC-MPA audio decoder...not sure why it just did

heres a graph of the ripped m2ts file playing in MP

ok so i found a solution to my VC-1 issues

i found a program called multiAVCHD (there are prolly others but this worked for me) which can convert from VC-1 to H264

i got 4.5gig segments of the movie "clash of the titans" (5 segments) and i used TSmuxer to join the files together

i renamed the file to .MKV

now CoreAVC is the codec used..wha-la!
